Both:
-Achieved adequate sx control in over half patients
-~90% would recommend to other ibs pts
-Worked a bit better in IBS-D

.@raniberrymd just presented the results of an RCT of self-administered (app) gut-directed #hypnotherapy vs. muscle relaxation for #IBS. Both groups improved, but hypnosis produced superior improvement in pain. 64% of hypnosis group had adequate relief of IBS symptoms. #DDW2023.
