This Is the Real “Kerala Story”

A journalist in Keralam questioned a statement that women should stay at home and not appear in public.

Instead of questioning that regressive statement, the journalist who spoke against it was forced to apologise, while the channel removed the related videos from its online platforms.

This exposes a disturbing double standard.

Kerala’s media often lectures others about freedom of speech, press freedom and intolerance. But when a journalist questions a controversial religious statement, suddenly the issue disappears from the news cycle.

The same media that is quick to highlight fake allegation against the RSS and BJP seems remarkably silent when the issue involves regressive views about women.

We have also seen people publicly making offensive remarks about Hindu deities, including Lord Ayyappa, while debates over such incidents often take a very different tone.

So, where is the much-proclaimed “progressive Keralam”?

Freedom of speech cannot be selective. Press freedom cannot depend on who is being criticised.

Today, Keralam is showing us two different faces of freedom of expression.

Govt appointed High-Level Committee is examining demographic changes in Jammu & Kashmir, including issues related to illegal immigration.

Last year, I posted information from a local news portal in J&K stating that 162 Rohingya women had married local residents in Jammu & Kashmir, while 158 had obtained Aadhaar cards. (Daily Excelsior, J&K newspaper)

It was a clear move to integrate illegal Rohingyas into local population and legalize them. Demography is not just changing, it's being sabotaged.

Jammu & Kashmir does not share a border with Bangladesh or Myanmar. But there is a significant presence and settlement of illegal Bangladeshis and illegal Rohingyas in parts of J&K, particularly Jammu.

1) Why are immigrants who entered India illegally from Bangladesh or Myanmar reaching and settling so far away in J&K?

2) Who facilitated their movement, and how were they able to establish themselves in J&K?

It clearly seems that there is an organised network facilitating illegal migration and settlement in J&K. And, they are also targeting the Jammu through demographic change.

America established nine military bases in the Middle East, with agreements to provide military protection to these countries in the event of an external attack.

Bahrain : U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters
Qatar : Al Udeid Air Base.
Kuwait : several major Army installations.
UAE : Al Dhafra Air Base and naval access facilities
Saudi Arabia : Prince Sultan Air Base and other facilities.
Jordan : multiple U.S. military locations.
Iraq : several bases, airfields.
Syria : several smaller U.S. military positions
Oman : access to military facilities and ports.

But the US could not protect a single country listed above from the missiles of Iran, as they pounded country after country.

India on the other hand, resisted American dominance and refused to simply align itself with America's policies, even when faced with heavy tariffs and criticism during Operation Sindoor as opposed to Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Instead, India focused on developing and manufacturing its own defence systems and defence capabilities. (Make in India).
The result today is that countries such as Vietnam, UAE,Chile,Brazil Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Saudi Arabia & Egypt are increasingly looking to India for defence equipment and military platforms.

And even "atami taaqat" nations think a hundred times before provoking India.

You may ridicule mock and denigrate PM Modi for his political science degree, for his desi accent of English or for his hugs, but it is an established fact that he made India stronger economically militarily and Internationally.

That is what a capable Prime Minister does.

1937 में तुष्टीकरण के लिए कांग्रेस ने ही 'वंदे मातरम्' के दो टुकड़े किए। वहीं से दो-राष्ट्र सिद्धांत को ताकत मिली और देश का विभाजन हुआ। 'वंदे मातरम्' के 150वें वर्ष पर मोदी सरकार ने यह ऐतिहासिक गलती सुधारी और पूर्ण गान को कानूनी स्वरूप दिया। लेकिन राहुल गांधी के नेतृत्व में कांग्रेस फिर उसी वोट बैंक के लिए तुष्टीकरण के रास्ते पर है।

'वंदे मातरम्' के टुकड़े करने की गलती एक बार हो चुकी और देश उसके परिणाम भुगत चुका। देशवासियों से यह अपील है कि एकजुट होकर कांग्रेस के इस तुष्टीकरण के खिलाफ आवाज बुलंद करें।
