@I_am_sucrose@m_ogada@WilliamsRuto πππππThis is how the compromised githeri media and the corrupt NFD leadership would aptly describe the situation
@DrBKhalwale Most Kenyans in diaspora are hardworking be it in whatever field, hustle or enterprise snd not just murima people, hapa Gachietha amekuja sana.
Kenyan flags now wrap more coffins than celebrations.
Not from war abroad, but from bullets at home.
Not heroes fallen in battle, but citizens silenced by the very guns that promised to protect them.
This isnβt patriotism. Itβs betrayal. π°πͺ
To accuse Wahome Thuku of tribalism is too convenient, even he prefers that! It is worse. But it is a script, and most likely a well funded script. Let's assume that Wahome was either too young or wasn't yet born when the Limuru Conference to remove Jaramogi Oginga happened in 1966. Or the assassination of Tom Mboya, the Kisumu (Russia) Massacre and the mass oathing of Kikuyus against the Luo community, all of 1969. We can assume he wasn't there, but these are all well documented as clear history of Kikuyu elite not only targeting specific Luo leaders, but the entire community.
However, there are fresher historical perspectives in recent history that Wahome will know. There is the refusal by both Matiba and Kibaki to support Jaramogi in 1992, even after the old man said publicly that he didn't have long to live and could do just one term or less. Jaramogi died exactly a year after the Moi swearing in. We can move then to the massive mandate the Luo gave Mwai Kibaki in 2002, and how Kibaki turned on them even before his swearing in at Uhuru Park. Five years later, Kibaki stole Raila's electoral victory and sent tribal police, alongside the Mungiki, to shoot Luos and Kalenjins for sport. Wahome knows that in 2013, the National Security Council, led by CDF Julius Karangi, Director of Intelligence Maj Gen Michael Gichangi and head of civil service (also Interior PS) Francis Kimemia, camped at Bomas to ensure the IEBC never "gave" state power to a Luo!
In other words, it has taken 60 years of Kikuyu humiliation, marginalisation and brutality meted on the Luo community, for Wahome Thuku to discover one Luo in government who has an "anti-Kikuyu agenda", in the form of @ray_omollo. Eureka!
Within the national security structure, Wahome could have picked anyone. Gachagua has already fingered NIS Director Noordin Haji and DCI boss Amin as carrying a "Somali agenda against Kikuyus". It would even be compelling to pick on President Ruto himself and his Interior CS, Murkomen, because after all, the fallout in government is between Kalenjins and Kikuyus. But no, Wahome knows that for the propaganda to be effective in his oathed land, the enemy must be a Luo! So now, even though the Kikuyu have 8 CSs, 17 PSs and the top positions in both the military and police, the supposed existential threat to the community, according to Wahome, is the one single Luo in the national security apparatus. How rich!
The Kikuyu community has spent 65 years hating Jaramogi Oginga and his son Raila. It was only natural that people like Wahome, in the twilight of Raila, to scan around for a "successor" to the hate figure. Looks like in their assessment, the person who holds the power and influence, enough to be a threat, is PS Omolo. Wahome and his ilk are obviously saying that "the mnjaruo we have hated won't be there soon, rakini msirare, kuna kegine kamejitokeza". This script is sponsored by Kikuyu leaders like Gachagua, but don't be surprised if it has elements of Luo leadership in it, and leaks from within the security establishment. Nevertheless, if Wahome and his people have finally found where the anti-Kikuyu vibe originates, there is more bad news for them; that PS Omolo, unlike Raila Odinga, is not beholden to sentimentalism and "enemy love", so he is unlikely to turn the other cheek, like Raila does. In fact, the era of turning the other cheek among the Luo has ended with Raila.
So now we can sit here and laugh at how those who manufactured hate and weaponised it for 65 years can actually complain about being hated.
Without batting an eyelid, Ruto asks why he's facing a revolt bigger than Moi, Kibaki, or Uhuru ever did. Here is why; he's incomparably unqualified, incompetent, immature, brutal, eccentric, sadistic, insensitive, deceptive, gluttonous, corrupt, unstately, unpresidential, unfit!
