The Eagles drop off two more seconds from their prelim time to finish 4th in the State of Illinois Class 2A!! So proud of this group as they have cut 19 seconds off of their time from Indoor Season!

Tonight’s Athlete of the Meet goes to double State Qualifier in the Long Jump and 4x400 relay Gary Lawson!!

He also just missed out on two others.

4x1- Season PR of 43.80 (3rd place, qualifying time is 43.50)

4x2- Season PR of 1:31.46 (3rd place, qualifying time is 1:31.24)

Saturdays Athlete of the Meet was Freshman distance runner Cooper Anderson! Here is Coopers progress this year, February 1600m- 6:40, Saturday Cooper ran the 1600m in 5:42!! His 4x8 split in February 2:54, 4x8 split Saturday 2:29!

With one guaranteed meet left this week KeJaun Caradine is the first athlete to go over 100 points in a season since 2019! He holds a 6.75 point lead over teammate Dashaun Lawson!

27 teams at the Collinsville Invite today, running events=3 hours and 35 minutes!

20 teams boys/girls together, several small schools at the IPC Conf. Championships Tuesday, left at 10:45am, returned at 11pm, running events= 5.5 hours!

**We have to figure out a better solution!

4x4 relay ends the meet with a season PR and our Athlete of the Meet Tayon Swift runs a lifetime PR split of 51!!!
