of course I still think its important to keep realistic expectations, but based off of our tech stack and performance we should be seeing more usage come as we expand to other chains.
A lot of people question what the vision with @routedotfun is and I've never been so confident. Thought id share some of my thoughts here.
We're currently doing about ~$50m in volume a month, which is an EXTREMELY small pie of the total DEX aggregator volume across chains.
Route currently makes up for just 0.1% of total DEX aggregator volume across all chains, and 1.6% of Robinhood Chain's DEX aggregator volume.
These are pretty small numbers comparatively, and remember that we're faster, yield more output, and have arguably better execution infrastructure than most of the protocols doing 10-100x our monthly volume.
And for all my revenue folks out there, we charge from 3-10bps on transactions if Route reaches just 3% of total market share thats anywhere from $700k -> $2.2m
if we start leading just EVM that would be from $2m -> $9m in monthly revenue. Insane numbers
This also isnt taking into account that if on-chain activity heats up DEX aggreagtor volume as a whole will skyrocket.
route x @OuroLayer
ouro’s pools are now part of every route quote on robinhood chain. ouro also routes its own swaps through route, so their users get the best price across all of rh.
JIT Routing and Gasless Transactions via Route's new Relayer are live now for partners and on https://t.co/e8oQcRtwo1
We're also working on publicizing builder codes so anyone, agents and humans, can integrate route directly into their own applications seamlessly and in minutes.
This of course would come with lower rate & streaming limits for non-partners.
Stay tuned for more 🚀
practicality > gimmicks
Theres a lot of hype infra in crypto that looks great in a launch thread and never actually gets used / is practical long-term.
Route is about the boring stuff that actually matters: the best price across every pool and market maker, low-latency quotes & built txs, and every swap simulated before you sign.
Every feature shipped has to answer two questions, does this improve our current build, and will people care. Its the same iterative design process that large corporations use to refine their product.
In just over 6 weeks, Route has done $50M+ in swap volume on Robinhood Chain 🔥
Thank you to every partner who’s integrated Route, we appreciate the support as we keep shipping.
More features. More chains. More value for everyone.
Wanted to do a quick write-up on two features Route is bringing this week. Here’s how it works on Route and why it matters.
JIT routing
The problem: a quote is a snapshot. Between quote and inclusion there’s a wallet confirmation screen, a user reading it, sometimes a relayer, then block time. On Robinhood Chain long-tail pools move every block, so the best route at quote time often isn’t the best at fill time. The result is a slippage revert or a worse fill.
What JIT does: instead of locking in one route when you quote, the swap stays flexible until it executes. At fill time it’s re-checked against live onchain state, and it only switches routes if the user gets strictly more; otherwise it fills exactly as quoted. No markup, and no slippage kept by us: anything above the quote goes to the user.
Where it matters:
- Wallets and apps with human-speed signing. 20–60 seconds between quote and send is normal, and that’s exactly when quotes go stale.
- Larger orders. The bigger the trade, the more likely a better path appears by execution time. In our testing that was the case for most $25k trades and few small ones.
- Delayed execution: relayed transactions, agent actions, orders that fire later. Anything not sent the instant it’s quoted.
- Volatile tokens. In a stress test, stale large trades that would have reverted after a sharp move filled roughly 1% better instead.
Gasless swaps
The problem: a lot of Robinhood Chain users hold USDG and stock tokens but no ETH. “Go buy gas first” kills the trade.
What it does: the user signs, Route submits and pays the gas. Tokens only move with the user’s signature, straight into their swap, and the user never grants us open-ended token access. Builders choose per key:
User-paid: gas is repaid from the token being swapped, never more than a max the user signs.
Sponsored: the app covers gas and the swap is completely free for the user.
Where it matters:
- Onboarding: someone with USDG and zero ETH can trade on their first visit. For tokens that support permit signatures it’s signatures only, start to finish.
- Embedded wallets and agents: sign-only flows, with no gas balances to top up across thousands of wallets.
- Consumer apps that want a “no fees” feel: sponsor gas and keep it off the user entirely.
If you’re building on Robinhood Chain and want early access, DM me I can get you setup.

Replay any trade as a shareable video, see your paper hands (what you’d have made selling at the peak), and track your daily PnL calendar, all inside Route.
Coming this week for builders
JIT routing (opt-in per API key)
Quotes go stale between quote time and inclusion. With JIT on, the transaction carries the quoted route plus alternate candidate routes, and our JitRouteModule re-prices them on-chain at execution and fills through the best one.
Each alternate is checked at fill time; if none beats it, the transaction falls back to the quoted route. So builds that would previously revert or fill worse after a price move now fill at the current best price. Everything above the quote goes to the user, and Route keeps no positive slippage.
Enable it per key, or pass jit=1 on /quote.
Gasless swaps (relayer, per-key mode)
Request a gasless quote with /quote?gasless=1&owner=<user>. The user signs the order instead of sending a transaction, and you post it to POST /gasless/submit. Route’s relayer submits it through the RouteGasless contract and pays the gas.
Two modes per key:
on: the relayer is repaid in the input token, capped at a max fee the user signs.
sponsored: you cover the gas, so swaps are fully free for your users.
Users never need ETH in their wallet to trade. More to come
@0xbeans X didn't sort out @routedotfun's issues until we got the gold checkmark and contacted them through the priority support panel. Even then it still took a few days to resolve.
Hey guys quick update, got a few updates coming out over the next week. Been pushing hard on integrations lately, more apps and teams building on top of route’s api and we’ve been adding a lot of new liquidity sources so routes keep getting better.
I think the direction and pmf route is moving into is pretty clear at this point. Lots happening behind the scenes that isn’t public yet, will share more soon. Feeling really good about the future
