Quick little pro tip - if you think your Meta tracking is off, or see poor metrics on "Event Coverage" or "Event Deduplication" - we see a lot of clients that have events implemented via Meta's codeless Event Setup Tool (EST).

EST can be useful - it lets you add Pixel events to any page/site where the base Pixel is installed - you can do it off text or button clicks, etc. But we don't recommend using it because you can't send event parameters, can't use CAPI with it, etc.

But we see a TON of accounts with event over-firing because the EST events are in place on top of the core ecommerce tracking setup.

An easy check is to use Chrome Pixel Helper, go to your site, and look at the events that fire. If they have a custom parameter of "cs_est" (see attached screenshot), that event is coming from the EST.

To get rid of them, head to Events Manager -> Settings, scroll down, and open the EST - it will ask you to enter your website domain and will open it in a new tab. When the EST pop-up window loads in the top left, click the second tab for "All Events On The Site". Then you can see all events set up in the EST for your website, and go through and delete them as desired.
