BPCL continues to advance its commitment to accessible healthcare through Project Drishti, an initiative aimed at supporting over 17,000 cataract surgeries across 22 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

The project was formally launched in Bhopal on 28th May in the presence of Mr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Senior Joint Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shirish Chandekar, CGM (HR), BPCL, Mr. Rohit Yadav, DGM (HR), BPCL, and Mr. R. N. Mohanty, CEO, Sightsavers India.

Implemented in collaboration with Sightsavers India and partner hospitals—Jeevan Jyoti Health Services (Jhabua), Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (Vidisha), Choithram Netralaya (Chitrakoot), and Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (Indore)—the initiative aims to restore vision, enhance quality of life, and improve access to eye care for underserved communities across the state.

Through Project Drishti, BPCL reaffirms its commitment to creating a meaningful and lasting social impact through healthcare interventions.

Fuel availability across Junagadh district, Gujarat, remains under control, and BPCL continues to ensure an uninterrupted supply of Petrol (MS) and Diesel (HSD) across its retail network.

All BPCL Retail Outlets in the district are operational and are being closely monitored to ensure smooth fuel availability.

The surge in Diesel demand is primarily due to the non-availability of Diesel at a private player and cooperative retail outlets, resulting in increased footfall across OMC outlets in the district. The situation has also led to panic buying, with some customers seeking Diesel quantities beyond their immediate requirements.

BPCL teams are closely monitoring the situation on the ground and ensuring smooth availability through continuous logistics support and supply planning. Dealers have been advised to prioritize supply to genuine farmers to support ongoing agricultural activities. There is no supply constraint from BPCL’s side, and all efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability for farmers and the general public.

Fuel availability across Dharashiv district, Maharashtra remains under control, and BPCL continues to ensure an uninterrupted supply of Petrol (MS) and Diesel (HSD) across its retail network.

All BPCL Retail Outlets in the district are operational and maintaining adequate fuel stocks to serve customers.

Temporary shortage was observed at certain locations, and they were primarily driven by unusually high customer footfalls, panic buying and seasonal agricultural demand. Despite these challenges, BPCL has maintained a steady supply position and continues to replenish outlets on priority.

BPCL is monitoring the situation continuously to ensure timely replenishment and smooth fuel availability across the district.

BPCL remains committed to supporting farmers, local communities, and all consumers through uninterrupted fuel supplies and proactive logistics planning.

The partnership was launched at the IIT Madras Technology Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam under the theme “From IITM. For Bharat. Building Together.”

Mr. Pushp Kumar Nayar, Executive Director (Corporate HR), represented BPCL at the event along with Mr. Sanjay Yadav, DGM (CSR), CO and Ms. Lalruatkimi, Assistant Executive (CSR), CO. Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, School Education & Literacy, and Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Higher Education, Ministry of Education, were also present on the occasion.
