@Claire001Bush The problem is that the UK doesnt do joined up planning of any kind especially over long term. A country wide Transport Plan is needed & should encompass Trains Bus Cyclists pedestrians & not place so much focus on cars because that is the only method of transport in most places

@Claire001Bush @Orangeade00 I love driving in France. Belgium, Germany, Holland. Better roads, signage overhead rather than on the side where you can miss them due to lorries on your left, and, an absence of middle lane hoggers. Drivers are more courteous than here in the U.K.

@Claire001Bush @MyGineration Their cycle network should be the envy of the world. My last visit I rode from Lacanau to Bordeaux- about 60km - without needing to go on any roads whatsoever. I can’t even get from my home in Marazion to Penzance (3miles) without needing to go on 4 busy roads. Rubbish.

@Claire001Bush @ghislainehull6 I visit Spain a lot, and there are motorways and high speed trains everywhere. Our government can't even afford to dual carriageway the A1 (yes the A1) for 9 miles North of Morpeth.

@Claire001Bush In the Austrian countrysideI saw two men with what I thought were pesticide sprayers on their backs walking in the road. I was puzzled. The wife (Austrian) said they were repairing the road. What! They were filling in very small holes, with tar, before they grew.

In the past three days I’ve driven the whole length of France (it’s big!) the roads were all well maintained and in fantastic condition. As soon as we arrived in U.K. the state of the roads is shocking. This country is being run into the ground, basics are not being taken care of

@johnkcrouch It’s pretty much a regular thing here. Dads with money hire muscle cars for their little princes to gun round Newham trying to impress whoever. I assume smalldickitis is a common factor. Certainly none of them will enter Mastermind.
