@TotallyNotAliVT It feels wrong to "like" this ... it's tough out there, doubly so as an artist. Not only do you face all the problems of "contract" style work, but you also need to become famous enough to command premium prices and produce enough work. Wish I could help!
@HoegLaw@Variety@washingtonpost This brings up a question: do the actors being Gen X make it so? It was one of those cusp shows whose primary demographics covered both.
@IanRunkle I understand the pain; I keep a totally divorced social media presence that is totally unique, with no shared email, no shared names or account names, nothing.
Sometimes this is extremely hard, and I don't have the added challenge of being a public personality like you.
@HoegLaw It is heartening to see someone bucking the trend. I am hoping this example both emboldens smaller creators and opens an avenue for smaller-budget, more creative movies.
The massive blockbuster live-action remakes that flop are getting really tiring
@TotallyNotAliVT Ultimately, food and the act of eating are pretty universal needs. I am not downplaying your art at all; food content usually gets views because everyone relates to it. You are not doing anything wrong. Your art is amazing.
@Itsfoss I am only about a year in, coming originally from Debian-based/Fedora distributions.
For me, it's been a good move; generally, I have had a good run with stability, and the effort put in by the community toward the AUR has really broadened application support.
@eevblog Any of the options listed are fine; a lot of it is personal preference, and they all work great.
It's all about preference.
For me, I started with freebsd/deb/fedora and then migrated on over to Arch-based (manjaro and catchy).
@legalbytesmedia I read over 100 books a year every year, and I am CONSTANTLY having to look up words. Sometimes context is enough; sometimes you just have to look things up!
@burnside_king@IanRunkle Why does that matter? No matter how heavy it is, the shipping company should have sent an appropriate number of people or appropriate equipment to handle it.
Thats normally how it works
@TotallyNotAliVT Yeah, I honestly have gone back to physical media, especially books, over the last few years. I like actually having and owning things.
We thankfully have a delightful used bookstore in town which now half my paycheck seems to go to.
@TotallyNotAliVT If you are not paying for the service to host your images, I can almost guarantee that the site is thinking about or will think about selling access to it.
For better or worse, in the world of AI human data for training is valuable.
