These guys from @LemkinInstitute have recently visited #Armenia to discredit #Azerbaijan & urge "international condemnation". The photos they posted yesterday are nothing but admiration of separatism & distortion of facts. And they should have read about the region before spewing what they have been told by their sponsors.
Let's take them on a brief info tour:
- There is no "Artsakh" in #Azerbaijan & in the world. No international document mentions a territory with such a name. It's all but fictional. It's Karabakh - an internationally recognised territory of Azerbaijan
- If they want to talk about the #Lachin checkpoint, they should try to learn opinions from both sides. Approach the Azerbaijani border guards there, talk to them & learn the overall situation. Pointing the checkpoint kilometres far from a hilltop & hallucinating about its "illegality" is ridiculous. Lemkin guys are seemingly unaware that the control point is located on the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan
- They are obviously obsessed with Armenia's "blockage" or "blockade" propaganda. Like other puppets orchestrated by Yerevan, these ladies from the Lemkin Institute believe that Azerbaijan has "blocked" the Lachin road. We recommend they see videos of freely moving Armenians along the highway
- Regarding the association of their lovely "genocide" term with Azerbaijan, we would remind them that Armenians are currently living in Karabakh. They even enjoy pizzas, burgers, salads, parties & birthday celebrations in Khankendi. They are the citizens of Azerbaijan. Their future is with Azerbaijan. All they must do is getting an Azerbaijani passport & integrate into our society. If they prefer vice versa, they are free to head to any destination out of Azerbaijan upon their personal choice. If it is about genocide, Lemkin daydreamers should remind the Azerbaijani residents of Khojaly who were ambushed & massacred by Armenians in 1992 while trying to escape the invasion
In a nutshell, discrediting Azerbaijan under a propaganda impact will not gain points for Lemkin Institute. We are now wondering, how much has been transferred to Lemkin account? 🤔🤫 #CaliberAz
Weekly informative report about the areas released and the items found during the humanitarian #demining operations conducted in the recently liberated territories by the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (01.05.2023 - 06.05.2023)
This is what left from a vehicle after yesterday’s mine blast in Tartar. Three civilians lost their lives in the incident. #Armenian mine #terror continues. At least one million (!) landmines were planted by #Armenia in the once-occupied lands of #Azerbaijan from 1991-2020 #CaliberAz #StopArmenia
“Despite of successful #clearance operations, #landmine incidents are still remaining. During the post-war period, total of 298 people became victims of #mines and explosive remnants of war, where 53 of them died and 245 were injured with various degrees of bodily #harm”
Armenians protest in front of our Embassy chanting that they want peace while also screaming demands for sovereign Azerbaijani & Turkish lands.
Is a word “peace” translated as a “war” in armenian?!

If you cannot ensure the safety of the foreigners in your country, you do not deserve to host a #sports event. #Armenia must be stripped off the host status of the European Weightlifting Championships unless it is free from ethnic hatred & discrimination @iwfnet@ewfsport

Similarly, nothing in the Trilateral Declaration precludes Azerbaijan establishing a checkpoint at our border with Armenia on the Lachin road, especially after today's killing of two Azerbaijani soldiers.
Help me understand:
If Armenians control Karabakh's ethnic-Armenian towns;
And Russian soldiers patrol the Lachin Rd;
And the "eco-protesters/activists" aren't stopping anyone;
WHERE EXACTLY IS AZERBAIJAN'S BLOCKADE?!
(And this time, go easy on the antisemitic comments, tnx)
I've made numerous unannounced visits to the #LachinRoad#LachinCorridor in the past few days & witnessed multiple convoys, including supply trucks & Red Cross vehicles, pass with ease. Reports of a humanitarian blockade against ethnic Armenian towns in Karabakh appear unfounded.
Up until few days before the Khojaly massacre the Armenians had articles published in western media, unter titles such as "genocide looms against Armenians in Karabakh".
However, the only mass murder in Karabakh was against Azerbaijanis by the Armenians in 1992, in Khojaly.
For those who never understood ICJ’s decision, here is the map showing that 🇦🇿i protesters stand only at 1️⃣ of 8️⃣ checkpoints on #LachinRoad. 🇦🇿 was ordered to take the measures which are “at it’s disposal”, since it’s 🇷🇺 p/keepers who control the traffic through c/ps 1-6, 8
Back in 2020 @stephensackur talked realities of today & international law w/@NikolPashinyan on @BBCHARDtalk regarding #Karabakh being internationally recognized territory of #Azerbaijan.
Some just have to be constantly reminded of this fact - a fact that must be respected.
75 years ago today Stalin decreed another (after collectivization of 1930s) wave of ethnic cleansing of Zangezur & other parts of Armenia. Number of Azerbaijanis to be relocated by years: 1948 - 10,000; 1949 - 40,000, 1950 - 50,000. My family was affected too. Then again in 1987.
