For the first time in 47 years, the CRPF has completed 12 consecutive months without an operational death, marking a major milestone for the country's largest paramilitary force.
The World Bank’s October 2026 Poverty & Equity Brief records India’s progress as one of the fastest poverty declines in the world.
The report highlights several significant gains:
✅ 49.6 crore people moved above the lower-middle-income poverty line of $4.20 a day between 2011 and 2023, with the poverty rate declining from 57.7% to 16.1%.
✅ Extreme poverty declined from 27.1% to 2.6% over the same period, measured at $3 a day. Both monetary poverty thresholds use 2021 purchasing power parity.
✅ Employment increased by 13.4 crore people between 2017 and 2023, nearly twice the increase in the working-age population.
✅ Rural women accounted for much of the employment gain, entering paid work and increasing the number of earners in their households.
✅ Both rural and urban households experienced substantial welfare gains, with faster progress in rural India narrowing the rural–urban gap.
✅ Access to electricity reached 99% of the population, according to the report’s 2022 survey data.
The World Bank identifies strong consumption growth, rising employment - especially among women—and expanded social transfers, including food subsidies, as major drivers.

Fraud is happening in voter list. And BJP lost the election in Varanasi, despite the fraud.
Then who's doing the fraud? 🤡
Isko hospital le jaao koi, ye pagal ho gaya hai 😂
2010-12 while growing up, every TV documentary telecasted in India (made by the west) repeated the same thing:
China is making bullet trains/railways/metros, but they are a failure because nobody is using them. Are they wasting money on artificial development?
The same is happening with India. I'm taking this as a compliment, not an insult. Hard infrastructure takes its own time to mature because you can't replace people's behaviour/patterns over-night, especially in towns (I refuse to call Jaipur a city yet) that have grown to be 2W/3W dependent.
Those estimated ridership numbers are the biggest stupidity. Some consultant sat in an AC office a decade ago and came up with them. You're never going to hit that target anytime soon, even if you make the asset free-to-use.
Also, we Indians are habituated to being treated like shit. Hence when we see a nice, space-giving Metro, we fill it is empty because a 50yo uncle isn't dry humping our ass to make room.
We expect every Metro to be an Ambernath Fast, every Airport to be Delhi's T2, and every station to be Dadar.
Give us something decent and we start doubting, ki sala mera chutiya kat gaya.
How much has UP’s crime declined under Yogi Adityanath?

• 34.2% decline in murder cases
• 33.4% decline in rape cases

Crime in UP rose over decades, but declined under a decade of Yogi Adityanath.
Compared with 2016, registered cases across these categories have declined significantly by 2024.
France is burning. India is not. Ask me why? It’s because of stable leadership and healthy public institutions. You can’t appreciate freedom until you experience fear.
Unbelievable scenes of France burning across cities as students, workers & other groups riot against cost of living and more. Mass looting and arson in different cities including Paris, Marseilles, Lyon.
.@Starlink will revolutionize India, particularly rural areas with no internet. So I made a petition just for Indian villagers who currently have NO INTERNET to show how much they want and need Starlink.
