Life change, recovery, sobriety is *absolutely* possible. We see countless examples in the EDM community and in the DJ world as well!
You can still rage hard, dance and enjoy music without bending your personal reality.
Music does that on its OWN! #Raveclean#RecoveryPosse
At age 37, I was literally drinking myself to death
The first sip of alcohol I drank everyday caused me to vomit. That never stopped me
Sober now for 23 years, my life is completely different
True change is possible, it just takes commitment
@ShirleyImMilk Maybe. Idk. That and or - people don't have a lot of respect for the people who actually did all of the work to have the credentials/knowledge to know what they are talking abt. Apparently everyone is a clinician in 2026. 🤣
Online there’s a tendency to pathologize ordinary interpersonal differences. Labeling people “narcissistic” “sociopathic” bc they’re difficult or incompatible w us. Not EVERY negative interaction = clinical disorder. Why do we feel compelled to diagnose instead of disengaging?
I really don't care if I ruffle feathers & I don't know why everyone's afraid to say it. When you are 90 days sober you are a LOT of amazing things. Brave. Confident. Courageous. A mentor for others. A sponsor soon. But my friend, it's not time to be a life coach. Relax. Breathe.
Ladies & gents, I present: Jamie Raskin, in 1989, on an episode of the Morton Downey Jr. show 😂 Morton Downey Jr. was Jerry Springer BEFORE there was a Jerry Springer. Jesus, the stuff #GenX was raised on💀

Realistic trauma recovery is all about our relationship w/ ourselves-- making it safe, making it reliable, ridding it of all the bullsh*t & distrust CPTSD has been trying to poison it with. We are w/ ourselves 24/7/365. We need to be able to rely on & care for ourselves.
Running through the Mountains of @griffithpark even for short periods of time is a challenge for a man with absolutely no feeling in his right leg and that is a triumph. To some degree i have always realized everything takes work Some things never return, but a positive attitude makes a major difference. I will never give up working on things getting better if we listen to the what the doctor originally said, they never expected me to even walk again We proved them wrong. So keep in mind we all have good days and bad days. But I’ll be damned if I’m gonna ever stop trying to get all my abilities back there’s so much I can do and I’m kicking ass with everything that I can. don’t let anyone tell you something is completely unobtainable. Keep up the fight.
Maybe the secret is to learn to not give a f abt the who don't reach out. The ones you don't support you. The ones you may still talk bad about you. The ones who did you wrong. The ones who are waiting for you to fall. Adopt a mindset where none of that can touch you, & move on.
Thank you Headbangers for an incredible sold out weekend at DLVEC! It’s been such a pleasure playing this venue the past few years. We really went out big!!
See you in Denver for Mile High 🔊
Take it from someone who knows, if your drinking is still an issue at your job at 47 years old and you have past arrests for things like public intoxication and public urination, you’re not a casual drinker and you damn sure shouldn’t be leading FBI.
@sandibachom (Almost) 13 years sober from alcohol, 17 years sober from drugs.
Our nation is in denial, and needs to check itself into rehab - or go to an Alanon meeting.
