@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy That is just your opinion, too, which is not very uncommon to see on social media, but it is not very popular in the actual game.
And if by "worse ideas for races" you mean earthen and haranir, these are also nice additions. The problem with these races is something else.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Things don't need to have existed in WC3 for them to be added in WoW 20 years later. There is only so much in WC3 to add to WoW, and most of it has already been added.
I am sure some people would have liked Drakonid, and others would prefer Dracthyr. That is how these things go.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Dragon visages are literally a reskin of other races, though. Most of them look like elves.
The dracthyr complaint is actually minor, and mostly made by people who don't play them. There are a lof of people who love the race.
DHs and DKs are great, and so are Evokers.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Retail has a nuanced and competent writing team that cares about fantasy and narrative of the story. It is not been long since the blue dragonflight questline in DF was released, which is an amazing questline.
Evoker is a good class, and dracthyr a fine race.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Because it makes sense to have one, and people have always asked for it. By that we could say we didn't need DKs or DHs, either.
If people were given a dragonkin race without wings they would ask for wings. And Dracthyr also have their visage form, which is also appealing.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy This is what I mean, though. Blizzard has had many ideas for the game since the beginning, but couldn't implement all of them at once. Even the Dragon Isles were planned at the time, there are assets.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Dracthyr were actually an idea back in Vanilla. There are sketches of them from that time period.
I don't think Drakonid look fierce or prettier than Dracthyr. They don't even have wings.
Evoker is a must have class for WoW. We were missing a dragon class, and there it is.
@RealValloren@JamieKaos Class design means far more than that, in which retail’s class design is indeed superior to any past version of WoW, including past retail expansions.
@ExodusPrimal@OldManPhy Because Dracthyr make more sense, had a role to play, look better, and brought a new class to the game. That is why we had Dracthyr and not Drakonids.
@capybarayoo@TheWindstalker It’s still a fantasy RP game, that’s why it’s an RPG. If you don’t care about the fantasy aspect what is even the point of playing an RPG
@capybarayoo@TheWindstalker Blizzard is actually lenient with names, but you guys are extra fucked in the head.
Names should all be RPG accurate, if you don’t plan on doing that move on to a different game genre.
@Manayis_ The blood elf SD models are the only SD models I care about tbh. I still like the HD ones, but I hope they rework character models again someday
