▪️Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has strongly backed India's claim for a permanent seat in the UNSC.

▪️In his address at UN General Assembly in New York, he said that Russia is in favour of broadening representation of Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and Moscow supports India's and Brazil's candidatures for a permanent seat.

▪️He advocated for more seat allocation to the Global South and voiced strong support for India and Brazil.

India-Japan discussions on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train are progressing well. Japan will provide E10 series train in the early 2030s. The train is still under development. Meanwhile, construction work has rapidly progressed. The first section will be opened in 2027. Both sides agreed to start operations with the Indian high-speed train. The project execution is in line with the common goal of starting the high-speed train project at the earliest: Govt sources on India’s Bullet Train project
