As I grow in age and experience, I come to appreciate ever more deeply the words of Allāh:
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
‘Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.’
(Qur’ān 94:6)
Normalize being a boring Muslim. Go to bed after Isha. Wake before Fajr. Sit with Qur'an to understand. Take dhikr walks. Your life doesn't have to be loud to have barakah. Sometimes the magic is in being unreachable. In becoming the Muslim nobody can disturb.
My professor used to say, ‘Everything is hard until it’s not.’ I didn’t understand it back then, but I understand it now. The beginning is always the hardest part, but with consistency, the difficulty gradually loses its grip.
