After 18 years, AIIMS has successfully revived its Simultaneous Kidney-Pancreas (SPK) transplant program. This rare and complex dual-organ procedure has freed a 30-year-old patient from lifelong insulin dependence and dialysis.
Despite severe complications, our multidisciplinary team of specialists performed this life-changing surgery with precision. A huge thank you to the donor family, PGIMS Rohtak, and the police forces for coordinating the green corridor that made this possible.
