At the FoodGuard Global Summit, I stressed that food loss is a threat to food security. In fragile contexts, losses peak in the last mile - where access barriers & insecurity prevent food from reaching people. This is why resilient supply chains & strong partnerships are critical
Thiago Á. & Saif A. have been kidnapped, mistreated, arbitrarily detained, to punish them and crush the growing solidarity movement against Israel's genocide in Palestine. Do not let it happen!
Demand their freedom and freedom for all Palestinian hostages!

📍#Gaza: Six months into the ceasefire and food security remains a major concern.
🟡Families face numerous challenges as hunger continues to cast its shadow over many lives.
🟡WFP is on the ground, supporting those most in need, but true recovery requires more than just aid.
Grateful to meet with our EU partners in Brussels. Their critical support has enabled @WFP’s life‑saving and life‑changing work for decades.
As conflict and hunger rise, our partnership has never been more crucial. The world’s most vulnerable are counting on us.

When roads are cut, access is blocked, and we need to reach people where others won't go. @WFP_UNHAS flights are a lifeline. Irreplaceable.

I told @PiersUncensored: this is what Israel’s wars looks like — 100 air raids on 🇱🇧 within minutes, immediately after Netanyahu heard of a U.S. ceasefire announcement.
Lebanon, the jewel of the Arab world, endures.

🆘#Lebanon: What began as a displacement crisis is quickly evolving into a deepening food security crisis.
Families are being uprooted, communities stretched, and food is becoming harder to afford.
A new step in a pattern of deliberate disregard for international law & the United Nations.
Israeli forces stormed into an UNRWA health centre in East Jerusalem. This is a United Nations premises.
Israeli authorities then ordered the centre to close for 30 days, depriving Palestine Refugees of access to primary health care.
Meanwhile, water and power supplies to UNRWA facilities - including health and education buildings - are scheduled to be cut in the coming weeks.
This is a direct result of legislation passed by the Israeli parliament in December, which stepped up existing anti-UNRWA laws adopted in 2024.
The recent International court of Justice ruling restated that the State of Israel is obliged under international law to facilitate UNRWA’s operations, not hinder or prevent them.
After long negotiations, a UN-led mission delivered aid to El Fasher this week. The first of many missions.
We’re working to expand lifesaving aid across Darfur. With safe access and funding, we will deliver. Thank you to all partners who helped make this happen.
Barely two weeks into 2026, the world is already confronting the risk of a dangerous and deepening global hunger crisis.

Grateful to #Korea for standing with the Syrian people and supporting solutions that help communities cope and rebuild. Thank you @MOFAkr_eng.
Food assistance depends on access. Without usable roads, relief cannot move and people cannot be reached.
Despite severe constraints, WFP teams are working to keep vital roads in #Gaza open.
Keeping access open means help can reach those who need it most.
Heartfelt thanks to #Korea! Through the REACH initiative, 95,000 people facing severe food insecurity in #Syria now receive #WFP cash-based assistance – empowering choice & dignity.
Your support means hope and stability for Syrian families who need it most.🙏🇰🇷
