Code Monkey @ Red Hat; political junky; avid eater; and I have an it's-complicated relationship with socks. Dont blame RHT for what I do. It's not their fault
@ryancohen@ryancohen please list some AA batteries for sale. I am almost out and my kid's talking parrot that repeats him all day needs new ones. 12pk, 24pk, idc. Willing to pay up to $20. thnx
@nakedjockman@CEOAdam I actually don't even blame the vultures. The company failed to sell shares at the top, and they were so obviously bankrupt that the only ones who would deal with them are the vultures. If there were no vultures, nobody else would have touched the company at all.
@_parker___@adcock_brett The goal is to have a general robot that can behave in multiple environments without having to be custom created for either the location or the task.
I would imagine they could simply introduce a mounted legless model for something like this though. Save power and money
@Rahll@ronsh725@adcock_brett I would imagine the robot is instructed to ignore packages that fall to the floor, as bending over and and picking it up is probably outside the scope of its mission at this station.
@StopNoticingIt@libsoftiktok@JamesOKeefeIII I think there is actually a big difference between getting people fired for public statements, public actions, or public social media posts (ok) vs someone sharing their genuine feelings in an off the record private conversation.
This specific video is closer to thought police.
@pulte The two claims in this post cannot both be true at the same time. Pulte suggests her original loan application was a lie and also her us government disclosures were lies. If the initial application was a lie, then she didn't lie on any government disclosures.
@stkirsch The article clearly posits that this could be a social issue and not a scientific problem.
"it is possible that more women who wished to become pregnant [sic] chose not to be vaccinated, and/or that more women who did not plan to become pregnant opted for vaccination. "
@Frogson_Mars @CollinRugg In the USA, passengers are under less scrutiny than drivers. The address given was where they were headed. It's only trafficking if the passengers were forced or coerced into involuntary servitude. Getting a free ride to Maryland to illegal work for pay doesn't count.
@JimmyDuuuval @CollinRugg Human trafficking under USA law requires that the passenger be unwilling or coerced into involuntary servitude.
Acting as a paid driver to bring willing passengers from one place to another to illegally work for pay does not meet the definition of human trafficking or smuggling
@anthonygalli@CollinRugg Being paid to drive willing passengers from Texas to Maryland is not human trafficking. Human trafficking, according to US law, requires either forced sex, forced labor, coerced labor, or involuntary servitude. There's no evidence of any of that in this video.
@CollinRugg Even if we assume the worst of the man, an illegal immigrant being paid to bring willing passengers from Texas to Maryland is not human trafficking. US law on Human trafficking requires either forced sex or forced labor or involuntary servitude. A paid taxi doesn't count.
@ThunderTrundle@EricLDaugh Trump himself confused them. Trump thinks the letter M and the letter S are actually tattooed on the guys hands. He said so on tv.
@GodGritGrace @bennyjohnson No. A nation cannot function if each person gets to direct the funds. Everyone has different priorities. That's what congress is for. They debate the priorities of their constituents and pass a national budget.
@upyourgizzard@BillAckman@howardlutnick Lutnick was confirmed Feb 19, and the market started the drop the next day.
Ackman is just salty that everyone else figured it out 7 weeks ago, but he just figured it out today.
You know if he figured it in feb, he wouldnt be complaining now, but 10x'd hedges again like covid
@BillAckman@howardlutnick Lutnick was confirmed February 19th. The market started crashing the very next day.
It seems the rest of the investment community figured it out almost two months ago, but you just figured it out today.
@BreannaMorello The unions and the Dems are decrying this shredding, as it destroys a lot of critical information for rehiring all the wrongfully terminated workers throughout the world.
It is possible that it is not the outgoing administration doing the shredding, but the incoming one.
@WallStreetMav These tarrifs don't kick in until USA exports a minimum threshold. And the USA almost never even hits those threshold. So almost all of our exports, even on these tariffed products, never even have to pay a tarriff.
