MASVINGO — The growing resistance to Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) continues to gain momentum as Honorable Mureri has added his voice to calls for the controversial constitutional amendments to be abandoned.

Speaking during the ongoing parliamentary debate, Hon. Mureri argued that the proposed changes do not reflect the priorities of ordinary Zimbabweans and called for greater respect for the wishes of citizens.

His intervention places Masvingo among the growing list of constituencies where representatives have publicly expressed reservations about CAB3.

The Voices Are Growing

As Parliament continues deliberations, more Members of Parliament are speaking openly about concerns raised by their constituents.

The message emerging from many communities remains remarkably consistent:

🗣️ No to CAB3.

🗣️ Protect the Constitution.

🗣️ Focus on the economy.

Critics of CAB3 argue that constitutional amendments do not put food on the table, create employment, restore hospitals, or strengthen public services.

Power Versus People

The CAB3 debate is increasingly becoming a test of representation.

Will Members of Parliament vote according to the wishes of the citizens who elected them?

Or will they follow political instructions?

That is the question many Zimbabweans are asking.
