پھر ان ہی کاروائیوں کا آغاز ہوتا ہے جن کو بنیاد بنا کر ۲۰۰۴ سے ۲۰۱۷ تک خیبر پختونخواہ اور باقی پاکستان کو تختۂ مشق بنایا گیا۔
پھر ٹرمپ کی امریکی اسلحہ کے بیان اور بگرام ائیر بیس دینے سے طالبان کے انکار میں ہمارے جرنیلوں کو وہ سنہری موقع مل جاتا ہے جس کے وہ انتظار میں تھے۔ پاکستان میں پناہ گزین افغان شہریوں کا غیر انسانی انخلاء شروع ہوتا ہے، بارڈر پر تجارت بند کردی جاتی ہے، افغانستان پاکستان کے امن کا اولیں دشمن قرار پاتا ہے، تندو تیز بیانات اور فضائی حملوں سے اس دشمنی کو مزید مستحکم کیا جاتا ہے۔
نتیجہ اس سے کچھ مختلف تو نہیں ہونا تھا جو ۱۹۷۰ سے ۲۰۱۰ تک ہوا مگر کیا سبب تھا کہ ۲۰۲۲ میں بھی اسی رُول بُک کو فالو کرنا مناسب سمجھا گیا؟ یہ سوال میں تو چار سال سے پوچھ رہا ہوں اب اگر منہ سے جھاگ اڑاتے، جنگ کے طبل بجاتے اور سوال اٹھانے والو کو وطن دشمنی کے فتوی بانٹنے والوں کی گیس لائیٹنگ میں آئے بنا آپ بھی پوچھ لیں کہ کیونکر اپنے جوانوں، اپنے اور پڑوسی ملک کے معصوم شہریوں کی زندگیوں، اپنے ملک کے امن اور استحکام سے اس بے دردی سے کھیلا گیا تو شاید آپ کا مستقبل گذشتہ سے کچھ مختلف ہوجائے۔
جو ہو رہا ہے، جو بساط بچھائی گئی ہے صرف بیرون آقاؤں سے کی جانے والی کمٹمنٹس کے مطابق فرد واحد کی طاقت کو دوام دینے کے لیے ہو رہا ہے چاہے وہ غزہ ہو یا افغانستان۔ یہ نہ کل پاکستان کی لڑائی تھی، نہ یہ آج پاکستان کی لڑائی ہے۔

We have been informed that my father, Imran Khan, has lost most of the vision in his right eye, with reports indicating only 15% eyesight remains. This is the direct consequence of 922 days of solitary confinement, medical neglect (denied blood tests) and the deliberate denial of proper treatment in jail.

The responsibility lies squarely with the regime in power, the Army Chief and the puppets enabling this cruelty. This physical deterioration is happening under their orders, their watch and their responsibility. They have manipulated and warped the justice system in order to keep my father in solitary confinement.

My brother and I are still being denied visas to see our father as his health deteriorates. History will record this injustice.

We urge human rights bodies, legal institutions and democratic nations to confront this persecution and ensure those responsible face consequences.

It’s the natural order of things.
It’s coming down the line for everyone with living parents — and yet, still, I just cannot fathom a world without Mum in it. (“Mum” to everyone, including her 18 grandchildren.)

Even though she was 91 and had lived a huge life, we were still unprepared. It still felt sudden — a devastating shock.

As a recently bereaved friend said to me, “There’s no getting round the shock of it. Mums are a big deal.” Losing the person who brought you into this world is a big deal. I took it for granted that she’d be presiding over us forever.

If yours is alive, hold her close. Stay the extra hour. Sit down. Put your phone away. Say all the things you need to say.

Funny and sharp to the end — when a young doctor doing his rounds in the hospital (where she’d very reluctantly found herself, much to her irritation) on Friday evening spoke to her like an old person —
“DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?” he said slowly, over-enunciating every syllable. “I have a stomach pain, not Alzheimer’s,” she shot back.
A few hours later, on Saturday morning, she died peacefully in her sleep.
I’m grateful for that.
She was so loved.

Pakistan's state broadcasters blurred out a photograph of Imran Khan during a provincial assembly session.

Not a banner. Not a protest sign. A framed photo sitting on someone's desk.

This is the kind of censorship that raises eyebrows.

When a government starts erasing someone's face from screens, it usually means they're worried about something bigger than a desk ornament.

Khan's political movement hasn't gone anywhere despite the crackdown.

If anything, heavy-handed tactics like pixelating photographs tend to have the opposite effect of what's intended.

You can jail a politician. You can ban a party.

But blurring out a desk photo on live TV just makes people wonder what you're so afraid of.

“The FIA sent a team to interrogate me for voicing my views on these matters:

- “Anti-state” content in my tweets
- Afghanistan and foreign policy
- “Asim Law”
- My comparison of Asim Munir’s actions to those of Yahya Khan that led to the Fall of Dhaka
- Psychological torture in jail

The very first question they put to me was why my Twitter account carries what they call “anti-state” content. I responded by reminding them that I am a former Prime Minister and I represent eighty percent population of Pakistani. I will speak on every issue that is in the interests of my people. I have every right to raise my voice for them. No power can strip me of this right, nor can anyone silence my voice on matters that concern the interests of my country and my people.

Their second question was why I repeatedly raise the issue of Afghanistan and foreign policy. My answer was that the prudent policies adopted during PTI's tenure ushered in an era of unprecedented peace in Pakistan, most notably in the tribal regions. Today, as military operations drag us back into turmoil, I cannot remain silent while my people are burned in the fire.

During PTI's term in government, Afghanistan was under the anti-Pakistan Ashraf Ghani administration. The Afghan NDS, working in close collaboration with India, was hostile to Pakistan. Even then, we engaged them in dialogue. I personally went to Afghanistan and invited Ashraf Ghani to Pakistan in the interest of peace. This restored peace to the tribal areas and, after a long time, an environment of stability began to take hold there. The then ISI also supported our policy. But the moment Asim Munir assumed command, he turned to threatening the new pro-Pakistan Afghan government and set out to destabilize the situation. Afghan refugees with three generations of roots here were expelled by force, while drone strikes shattered relations between the two nations and destroyed the hard-won peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas. There can be no peace until all four stakeholders in the region - the Afghan government, the people of Afghanistan, the Pakistani government, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - sit together. History shows that military operations cannot establish peace no matter how much force is used.

The next point of interrogation was about my description of the current situation as “Asim Law.”

My answer was that the destruction taking place everywhere in the country today is under Asim Law. This is not propaganda. It is a statement based on facts and ground realities. First, I was abducted from inside court premises by paramilitary Rangers, and the false-flag operation of 9th May (2023) was orchestrated. That operation was preplanned; otherwise, ten thousand PTI workers could not have been rounded up in mere hours.. The CCTV footage was made to disappear to protect the real culprits. After that, those who held press conferences were set free, and those who continued to stand with PTI were subjected to relentless harassment. This scheme did not just crush PTI; it shattered the very foundations of human rights in the country. After that, when the people entrusted us with a two-thirds mandate, it was stolen, and the very thieves whose tales of corruption the ISI itself once told me were imposed on the nation. The Election Commissioner who should have been charged under Article 6 was granted a nine-month extension. The 26th Constitutional Amendment was passed through the Form 47 Assembly, and judges with no conscience were elevated from whom there is no hope for justice. Every institution has been destroyed.

The ISI, which was working for peace with Afghanistan during PTI's term, has now been reduced to Asim Munir’s personal mafia whose sole duty is to crush PTI by any means. All of this is happening under Asim Law.

The fourth question put to me was why I mention the Fall of Dhaka and compare Asim Munir with Yahya Khan.

مجھ سے دوسرا سوال کیا گیا کہ میں افغانستان اور خارجہ پالیسی کے بارے میں بار بار بات کیوں کرتا ہوں؟
میرا جواب یہ ہے کہ تحریک انصاف حکومت کے دوران دانشمندانہ پالیسی اپنا کر پاکستان خصوصاْ قبائلی علاقوں میں سب سے زیادہ امن قائم ہوا۔ اور اب ایک مرتبہ پھر آپریشن کے ذریعے حالات کو مزید بگاڑ کی طرف بڑھتے دیکھ کر میں خاموش رہ کر اپنے لوگوں کو آگ میں جلتا ہوا نہیں دیکھ سکتا۔

تحریک انصاف کی حکومت کے دوران افغانستان میں پاکستان مخالف اشرف غنی کی حکومت تھی۔ افغانستان کی NDS اس وقت انڈیا کے ساتھ بہت قریب رہ کر کام کر رہی تھی اور وہ پاکستان کے خلاف تھے- ہم نے ان سے بھی مذاکرات کیے- میں افغانستان گیا اور اشرف غنی کو قیام امن کی خاطر پاکستان بلایا جس سے قبائلی علاقوں کا امن بحال ہوا اور وہاں ایک عرصے بعد استحکام کا ماحول قائم ہونے لگا تھا۔ اس وقت آئی ایس آئی کی بھی یہی پالیسی تھی۔ لیکن جیسے ہی عاصم منیر چیف بنا اس نے پاکستان دوست افغان حکومت کو دھمکیاں دیں اور جان بوجھ کر حالات خراب کیے۔ صرف یہی نہیں، تین نسلوں سے یہاں رہنے والے افغان مہاجرین کو زبردستی ملک بدر کیا اور وہاں ڈرون حملے کیے جس سے دونوں ممالک کے تعلقات خراب ہوئے اور خیبرپختونخوا اور قبائلی علاقہ جات کا امن برباد ہوا۔ جب تک یہ خطے کے چاروں فریقین یعنی افغان حکومت اور افغان عوام ، پاکستان کی حکومت اور خیبر پختونخوا کے لوگ مل کر نہیں بیٹھیں گے، امن نہیں آئے گا۔ تاریخ بتاتی ہے کہ ملٹری آپریشنز سے جتنا مرضی زور لگا لیں امن قائم نہیں ہوتا-

تیسرا سوال کیا گیا کہ “عاصم لاء کیا ہے”؟
تو میرا جواب ہے کہ ملک میں جو بھی بربادی ہے وہ عاصم لاء کے تحت ہے اور یہ کوئی پراپیگنڈا نہیں بلکہ زمینی حقائق پر مبنی بات ہے۔ سب سے پہلے مجھے رینجرز نے احاطہ عدالت سے اغواء کیا اور نو مئی کا فالس فلیگ کروایا گیا۔ نو مئی کا آپریشن باقاعدہ منصوبہ بندی سے کیا گیا ورنہ چند گھنٹوں میں تحریک انصاف کے دس ہزار لوگ گرفتار نہ کیے جاتے۔ سی سی ٹی وی بھی اصل مجرموں سے توجہ ہٹانے کے لیے غائب کی گئی۔ اس کے بعد جو پریس کانفرنس کرتا اس کو آزادی مل جاتی اور جو تحریک انصاف کا ساتھ دیتا رہتا اس کو ہراساں کی جانے کی کوئی کوشش چھوڑی نہیں جاتی۔ اس منصوبے کو استعمال کر کے نا صرف تحریک انصاف کو کچلا گیا بلکہ انسانی حقوق کی بھی دھجیاں بکھیر دی گئیں۔اس کے بعد عوام نے ہمیں دو تہائی مینڈیٹ دیا جسے چوری کر کے ان چوروں کو ملک پر مسلط کر دیا گیا جن کی کرپشن کی داستانیں آئی ایس آئی خود مجھے سناتی تھی۔ پھر جس الیکشن کمشنر پر آرٹیکل 6 لگناچاہیے تھا اسے نو ماہ کی ایکسٹینشن دے دی گئی۔ فارم 47 ایوان کے ذریعے چھبیسویں ترمیم منظور کروائی گئی اور ایسے ضمیر فروش ججز کو اوپر لایا گیا جن سے انصاف کی کوئی امید نہیں بچی۔ ہر ادارے کو تباہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔

وہ آئی ایس آئی جو تحریک انصاف دور میں افغانستان کے ساتھ امن کے لیے کام کر رہی تھی، اب محض عاصم منیر کی ذاتی مافیا بن کر رہ گئی ہے، جس کی واحد ڈیوٹی کسی بھی طریقے سے تحریک انصاف کو کچلنا ہے۔ یہ سب عاصم لاء کے تحت ہو رہا ہے -

مجھ سے چوتھا سوال کیا گیا کہ سقوط ڈھاکہ کا حوالہ کیوں دیا اور عاصم منیر کو یحییٰ خان سے تشبیہہ کیوں دیتا ہوں؟

میرا جواب ہے کہ مجیب الرحمٰن اور یحیٰی خان کے بارے میں جو بھی میں کہتا ہوں وہ حمود الرحمان کمیشن میں درج ہے اور تاریخ کا حصہ ہے کہ کیسے یحیٰی خان نے اپنے اقتدار کو طوالت دینے کے لیے مجیب الرحمان کی اکثریتی پارٹی کو حکومت دینے کی بجائے ان پر ملٹری آپریشن شروع کر دیا اور ملک توڑ دیا۔ ایک دن مجیب الرحمٰن سے مذاکرات ہو رہے تھے اور اگلے ہی دن بنگالیوں پر آپریشن لانچ کر دیا۔ آج کل وہی یہاں ہو رہا ہے، جو کام یحیٰی خان نے 1971 میں کیا وہی سب عاصم منیر بھی کر رہا ہے، جس سے ملک میں قانون اور آئین کا جنازہ اٹھ چکا ہے۔

مجھ سے پانچواں سوال کیا گیا کہ میں یہ کیوں کہتا ہوں کہ مجھ پر ذہنی تشدد ہو رہا ہے؟

Thousands gathered in the city of Peshawar to rally behind Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former prime minister and founder of the opposition party PTI.

Khan remains banned from politics and faces a long list of court cases, but his support on the streets is still visibly strong.

The event defied heavy restrictions and months of government pressure aimed at sidelining his movement.
