Participants share their experiences after completing the three-day Skill Development Training Programme on Laboratory Animal Techniques for Preclinical Experiments under CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiatives at CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu.

The training provided young researchers, postgraduate students, and professionals with hands-on exposure to ethical animal handling, experimental design, and GLP-compliant preclinical research practices. Through a combination of expert lectures and practical sessions, participants gained valuable insights into laboratory animal biology, experimental planning, anesthesia and analgesia, histopathology, and advanced research techniques.

In this video, participants reflect on their learning journey, highlighting how the programme helped them bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world laboratory practices, while strengthening their confidence in conducting in vivo experiments and ethical preclinical studies.
Initiatives like these reaffirm CSIR-IIIM Jammu’s commitment to building research capacity, promoting ethical scientific practices, and nurturing the next generation of biomedical scientists.
