I want to be upfront, if @RonDeSantis could run for a third term, I would not be in this race.
Ron DeSantis is the greatest governor in Florida history.
700 Cholesterol 0 mm3 Plaque (CCTA + Heartflow)
The scan we review in today’s video (🔗 below) is not your average CAC scan. It quantifies both calcified and soft plaque throughout the arteries.
And importantly, “he’s young” is not a sufficient explanation.
👉People in their 20s and 30s commonly show measurable plaque on these scans.
👉There are even well-known plant-based influencers in their 30s with a decent amount of plaque
👉Children with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as young as a year or two can already demonstrate advanced plaque burden with LDL levels similar to mine.
The irrefutable reality is that elevated LDL and ApoB do not translate into identical plaque progression in every individual.
That is 100% a fact.
Understanding the biological differences that make some people dramatically more or less susceptible than others is absolutely critical to precision medicine.
Anyone pretending these individual differences do not matter is ignoring reality.
Anyone who protests again asking questions that need to be answered is a problem.
Tech folks forecasting the end of white-collar jobs while at the same time clinging to foreign visa programs that utilize cheap labor.
Not hard to see why people view Big Tech unfavorably.
If you ask a sincere question and don’t get a good answer, keep asking.
If people respond with defensiveness and mockery… you’ve probably stumbled onto an important question.
Keep asking.
A hard workout is not always a productive workout.
Fatigue is not the metric. Mechanical tension is.
Lifting weights activates muscle protein synthesis, driving strength, improving insulin sensitivity, and increasing capacity over time.
Train for adaptation, not exhaustion.
Save this.
Not all protein is created equal, which is why a variety of protein quality assessments have been implemented over the years.
Currently, the gold-standard is the DIAAS system, which looks at the digestibility of individual EAAs at the end of the small intestine (ileal digestibility) and then grades a protein based on its most limiting EAA (the one present in the lowest amounts).
Above 100 = excellent quality.
75–99 = high quality.
Below 75 = not good.
Animal-based protein sources are consistently ranked higher than plant-based protein sources, with a few exceptions (PMID: 33133540):
Excellent (>100):
• Pork
• Egg
• Casein
• Whey
• Potato
• Soy
High quality (≥75):
• Pea
• Lupin
Below 75 (many common plants):
• Corn
• Rice
• Oat
• Pea
• Hemp
• Fava bean
That doesn’t mean plant proteins are “bad.” It means many are limited in one or more EAAs.
The easiest way to fix this deficit for anyone getting most of their protein from plants is to simply add some EAAs to each meal.
An EAA blend directly supplies the limiting amino acids and can “patch” low-DIAAS proteins without dramatically increasing calories or total protein intake.
That’s why I rely on products like @BodyHealthcom to help improve amino acid quality without increasing total calories.

@StrykerFromFL@SecVetAffairs@PunchbowlTm@DeptVetAffairs Do you know anything about the suspect? I would hold off on your conclusions until more info is out. And btw, there is no excuse for shooting up any clinic. VA or otherwise.
Tonight’s weather will arrive in the early morning hours, so now is the time to make sure your devices are charged and you have a way to hear any weather alerts that come through overnight.
Be aware that the storms will likely still be a threat during the morning commute, so be prepared to make adjustments in order to keep your family safe.
The Oscars are tonight.
I haven’t watched the orgy of celebrity worship for years, but now there’s another reason not to watch.
@EricDJuly points out that Award shows have become political, race-obsessed ceremonies that "shouldn't even be seen as legitimate."
Everyone’s looking for a pill, procedure or product …
But what if I told you that you already possess the most powerful tool for longevity, and it’s been ignored by modern medicine for decades?
MUSCLE.
For too long, the conversation around skeletal muscle has been limited to mobility, performance, and aesthetics. But muscle is so much more than how we look.
It’s our most underestimated organ, an intelligent, responsive system that influences thousands of genes related to whole body health.
It regulates your blood sugar and maintains insulin sensitivity. It enables our body to efficiently shift between burning carbohydrates and fat depending on energy demands.
It provides an amino acid reserve for tissue repair during illness or injury. It protects your vital organs, supports your joints, and enhances bone density.
Our muscles form a sophisticated metabolic command center, powering us from the inside out.
And here’s what makes this even more remarkable…it’s one of the few organs we can voluntarily control.
Translation- you get to decide whether to build it or let it waste away.
The fountain of youth was never something to find, It’s something to build
Dr. Gabrielle
I don’t think Americans take Congressional hearings seriously.. just props, drama and politics w/time limitations like boxing …members pack the audience, put up posters, members, read questions written by staffers…and put someone in a hot seat. Nothing comes out of them
Protein and chronic kidney disease:
Meta-analysis of 10 cohort studies.
218,741 participants, followed 6 to 23 years.
Higher intakes of animal and plant protein were each associated with a REDUCED risk of developing chronic kidney disease.
REDUCED.
