Officer Mathew Galliher then pinned Brooks to an examination bed by applying pressure to his chest, an action that could have restricted breathing and added to the torture.

The duration of the assault, as shown in the footage, indicates it was not a brief altercation but a sustained act of violence. There was no apparent effort to provide Brooks with medical attention until after the assault had concluded, pointing to an intent to punish or harm.
