आज कई लोग मीडिया के सामने लगभग एक जैसी भाषा में "प्रधानमंत्री आवास की गरिमा" का पाठ पढ़ते दिखाई दे रहे हैं। एक सहज सा प्रश्न उठता है—क्या इससे पहले के प्रधानमंत्रियों के आवास की कोई गरिमा नहीं थी? या तब गरिमा का अर्थ लोकतांत्रिक मर्यादा, संवैधानिक शिष्टाचार और सार्वजनिक उत्तरदायित्व था, जबकि अब उस��� किसी एक व्यक्ति की प्रतिष्ठा का पर्याय बना दिया गया है?
लोकतंत्र में संस्थाएँ सम्मानित होती हैं, व्यक्तियों का महिमामंडन लोकतंत्न का स्वभाव नहीं होता। यदि प्रधानमंत्री आवास को राजमहल और उसकी आलोचना को राजद्रोह की तरह प्रस्तुत किया जाने लगे, तो यह केवल भाषा का परिवर्तन नहीं, बल्कि लोकतंत्र के राजशाही ��ें रूपांतरण की उद्घोषणा है।

UPDATE: a solution has been offered reportedly by the CJP reps at their meeting with BJP leader and health minister JP Nadda. Release Sonam Wangchuk from hospital , let him come to Jantar Mantar and break his fast there. CJP claims it will be an effective and symbolic way to end the impasse and restore order. Their two other demands 1) sack the education minister 2) Rs 1 crore compensation to families of each NEET suicide students. Don’t see GOI agreeing to the demands for now but surely a dialogue is better than detaining protestors. 🙏
