Happy to discuss our work @Viquibarone w/@BenWallaceWells from The @NewYorker
Yes! The Opioid Epidemic (unintentionally) translated into large gains for the Republican Party
How?
It created economic hardship for the working class, a topic at the center of the platform of the Republican party, and one where Democrats have lost ground (1/3)

If there was a Nobel Prize for advising, Daron Acemoglu would likely win that too. In 2018, @dongheejo68 and I mapped out his past advisees. 117 since 1994, or roughly 5 per year (~1/4 of a typical cohort!) [1/2]
I am very happy to have received this prize and appreciate that referee work is also recognized in the profession. Thank you to the editors of @EJ_RES!
