ایمرجنسی یا گورنر راج کے اعلان کے بعد لوگ ترکی کی مثال دینا بھول جائیں گے۔

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan in an interview from 14 years ago, after the 18th constitutional amendment, had highlighted how it is against the very spirit of democracy and an attack on the independence of judiciary if govt/politicians appoint judges.

What he said back then rings true and is very pertinent even today as the same characters are again trying to make the judiciary subservient to the executive.

As he rightly asks:
"Collective wisdom or collective interest? Self interest?”

The nation knows that they have done this draconian 26th amendment for their own political interests, not for Pakistan or democracy.

”جعلی پارلیمنٹ کے ذریعے چھبیسویں کے بعد ستائیسویں ترمیم لانے کا تکلف کرنے کی بجائے کھل کر “بادشاہت” ڈکلئیر کر دینی چاہییے، کیونکہ ملک پر اس وقت مکمل طور پر ڈکٹیٹرشپ مسلط ہے-

پاکستان کی بنیاد “لا الہ الا اللہ” ہے- یہ کلمہ انسان کو ہر قسم کی غلامی سے آزادی دیتا ہے- پاکستان کو بڑی قربانیاں دے کر انگریز سے آزاد کروایا گیا تاکہ ایک ایسا ملک بنے جہاں ہر شہری کو شخصی آزادی حاصل ہو- مگر یہاں حالات بالکل برعکس ہیں اور ایک مافیا پوری قوم کو غلامی میں مبتلا رکھنا چاہتا ہے۔ میں جیل کی کال کوٹھڑی میں رہ لوں گا لیکن غلامی قبول نہیں کروں گا۔ میرا تمام لوگوں کو پیغام ہے کہ سب کو ایسی غلامی پر قید کو ترجیح دینی چاہیئے کیونکہ جب ہم باہر آزاد ہی نہیں ہیں تو پھر ایسی رہائی کا کیا فائدہ؟ علامہ اقبال کا شاہین اونچا اڑتا ہے، وہ کسی کا غلام بن کر نہیں رہتا-

پوری قوم خصوصاً تحریک انصاف کے ورکرز اور سپورٹرز کو پیغام دیتا ہوں کہ ملک میں جاری ظلم کے نظام کے خلاف تحریک کا آغاز کریں۔ میرے لیے اس غلامی کے نظام کو قبول کرنے سے بہتر موت ہے۔

میری آواز ہر طرح سے دبائی جا رہی ہے تا کہ لوگوں تک میرا پیغام نہ پہنچ سکے اور جبر کے خلاف کوئی کھڑا ہونے والا نہ بچے۔ لیکن میں آخری سانس تک ظلم کے خلاف کھڑا رہوں گا- اور میرا اپنے رب پر یقین ہے کہ پاکستان سے ظلم کا سایہ جلد ختم ہو گا-

جمہوریت میں چار چیزوں کی بہت اہمیت ہوتی ہے: ووٹ کا حق، قانون کی حکمرانی، اخلاقیات اور آزاد میڈیا- چھبیسویں آئینی ترمیم نے ان چاروں کو ختم کر کے رکھ دیا ہے-

۱: ووٹ کا حق: جب ایک ڈکٹیٹر آتا ہے تو اسے ووٹ کی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی تو وہ ڈنڈے کے زور پر ملک چلاتا ہے- جس طرح فارم 47 والی اسمبلیاں بنائی گئیں اور اب مخصوص نشستیں بانٹی گئیں اس سے عوام کو یہ احساس دلایا گیا ہے کہ ان کے ووٹ کی کوئی اہمیت نہیں ہے۔

۲: قانون کی حکمرانی: عدلیہ کو حکومت کے ایک ذیلی محکمے میں تبدیل کر دیا گیا ہے۔ عدالتیں اپنی مرضی کے ججز سے بھر دی گئی ہیں اور آزاد ججز کے ہاتھ پاؤں باندھ دئیے گئے ہیں- ایسا صرف مارشل لاء میں ہی ہوتا ہے۔

۳: معاشرے کی اخلاقیات: اس ترمیم سے معاشرے میں اخلاقیات دفن کر دی گئی ہیں۔ اسمبلیوں میں ایسے لوگ بٹھا دئیے گئے ہیں جو عوام کے منتخب نمائندے نہیں ہیں- ارکان اسمبلی کی کھلے عام خرید و فروخت جاری ہے- اور عدلیہ بھی اسی مافیا کے انگوٹھے کے نیچے ہے-

۴: آزاد میڈیا: ڈکٹیٹرشپ میں میڈیا کو مکمل طور پر زنجیروں میں جکڑ دیا گیا ہے۔ آزادی اظہار رائے پر مکمل پابندی عائد ہے۔ آزاد صحافیوں کو نشانہ بنایا جا رہا ہے اور باقیوں کو خرید لیا گیا ہے-

اس ملک کی بد قسمتی ہے کہ یہاں ایک خود ساختہ ”بادشاہ سلامت“ فیصلے کرتے ہیں۔ جب کسی ملک میں حکومت ایسے لوگوں کو ملتی ہے جن کے پاس مینڈیٹ نہیں ہوتا تو ملک فساد اور انتشار کی نذر ہو جاتا ہے۔ یہ جو انتشار آج کشمیر میں نظر آرہا ہے اس کے پاکستان بھر میں پھیلنے کا خدشہ ہے۔پورے ملک میں فارم 47 والی جعلی حکومتیں قائم کر دیں گئیں ہیں۔ جمہوریت کا فائدہ یہ ہے کہ حکومت عوام کی منتخب کردہ ہوتی ہے جس کے پیچھے عوام کھڑے ہوتے ہیں۔ عوام اپنی منتخب کردہ حکومت کو قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتے ہیں اور اگر کوئی تنازعہ کھڑا ہو جائے تو بات چیت کے ذریعے اس کا حل نکل آتا ہے، مگر جس قسم کی جعلی مسلط شدہ حکومتیں گلگت بلتستان، آزاد کشمیر، پنجاب اور پاکستان میں قائم کردی گئی ہیں ان کا عوام سے کوئی رشتہ نہیں چنانچہ ہر جانب بےچینی اور مایوسی ہے۔ فارم 47 زدہ حکومتوں کے خلاف بجٹ کے موقع پر اور شدید ردعمل آئے گا۔ بدقسمتی سے ملک میں ایک مصنوعی سیٹ اپ عوام پر تھوپ دیا گیا ہے، نگران وزیراعظم کاکڑ اور راولپنڈی کے کمشنر نے سچ بیان کر کے اس حکومت کی اصلیت کو بے نقاب کر دیا ہے۔ اس حکومت کی بالکل کوئی حیثیت نہیں۔ SIFCجیسا غیر آئینی ادارہ اس ملک پر تھوپ دیا جاتا ہے اور کوئی نہیں بولتا۔ اس کا ایک ہی کام تھا کہ ملک میں پیسہ لائے گا جبکہ پاکستان بزنس کونسل نے کھل کر بتا دیا ہے کہ پیسہ ملک میں آنے کی بجائے باہر جا رہا ہے۔ ایک طرف قوم کو زرعی انقلاب کی ٹرک کی بتی پیچھے لگایا گیا اور دوسری طرف گندم درامد کر کے اربوں کی دیہاڑیاں لگائی گئیں جس سے گندم کا کاشتکار معاشی طور پر قتل ہوگیا۔ اس جعلی سیٹ اپ میں حکومت ان لوگوں کو دیدی گئی ہے جن کی اپنی ساری دولت ڈالر کی شکل میں باہر پڑی ہوئی ہے۔ لیڈر کو قربانی دینا پڑتی ہے اور نواز اور زرداری کا یہ گروہ کسی صورت قربانی نہیں دیے گا نہ ہی یہ لوگ اپنا پیسہ ملک میں واپس لائیں گے ۔ ان کے حرام کے پیسے پر جنرل مشرف اور بعد کے ادوار میں آئی ایس آئی نے مجھ سمیت سب کو خود تفصیلات فراہم کیں اور آج ان کو ہمارے سروں پر مسلط کر دیا گیا ہے اور ان کی صفائیاں دیتے پھر رہے ہیں۔
اس جعلی نظام کو قوم پر مسلط کرنے کا مقصد صرف اس ایک آدمی کی طاقت میں اضافہ کرنا ہے جس نے اپنی ذاتی طاقت کے حصول کیلئے پورے ملک کو تباہ کر دیا ہے۔

حمود الرحمن کمیشن رپورٹ نے واضح کر دیا تھا کہ کس طرح ایک شخص یحییٰ خان نے اپنی ذاتی طاقت بڑھانے کیلئے ملک کو ٹوٹنے دیا۔ حمود الرحمن کمیشن رپورٹ پاکستان کے ہر شہری کو پڑھنی چاہیے تاکہ سب کو پتا چل سکے کہ یحییٰ خان اور شیخ مجیب الرحمن میں سے غدار کون تھا۔

میں اس وقت جیل میں اس وجہ سے ہوں کیونکہ میرے جیل سے باہر ہونے سے بادشاہ کی طاقت کم ہوگی۔

9مئی کو صبح پاکستان کی سب سے بڑی سیاسی جماعت کے سربراہ اور پاکستان کے سب سے زیادہ اعزازات/تمغے جیتنے والے شخص کو جس طرح ہائی کورٹ سے اغواء کیا گیا اس کا مقصد عوام کو اشتعال دلانا تھا جبکہ میں نے اس دن صبح اپنے ویڈیو پیغام میں واضح طور پر کہا تھا کہ اگر میری گرفتاری مقصود ہے تو وارنٹس دکھائیں اور گرفتار کر لیں میری جانب سے کوئی مزاحمت نہیں ہوگی۔ 9مئی سے پہلے 25مئی 2022، 3نومبر 2022، 8مارچ 2023، 14مارچ 2023 اور 18مارچ 2023کو مجھے راستے سے ہٹانے اور میری جماعت کے خلاف طاقت کے بہیمانہ استعمال کے ذریعے ہمیں ہدف بنانے کی کوششیں کی گئیں تاہم میں اور میری جماعت مکمل طور پر پرامن رہے اور کسی قسم کے اشتعال کا شکار ہوئے بغیر آئین و قانون کے دائرے میں اپنی جائز اور قانونی سیاسی جدوجہد آگے بڑھاتے رہے۔

ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر اور چیف آف آرمی سٹاف دھمکی آمیز سیاسی بیانات داغ رہے ہیں اور فوج کو سیاست میں ملوث کر رہے ہیں جس سے فوج کی ساکھ متاثر ہو رہی ہے۔ جب سیاسی بیانات اور پریس کانفرنسز کی جائیں گے تو سیاسی جماعت ان کا جواب دینے کا حق رکھتی ہیں۔

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Message – July 8, 2025

“When a nation rises for its rights, no force on earth can suppress it. I remain a free man, even in jail, but my nation is trapped in a prison where there is no independent judiciary, no genuine democracy, and no free media. Every Pakistani must rise up for their true freedom!

For two years, I have remained imprisoned solely for the sake of the Pakistani nation, so that no one can enslave you. Now, the time has come for you to stand up for your own freedom and defeat this oppressive system.

I repeatedly called for dialogue in the best interest of the country. But the time for negotiations has now passed. After the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the rule of law, the Constitution, and the very concept of justice have been buried. Any hope of receiving justice from the courts has been completely extinguished. The Pakistani nation now has only one path forward: a nationwide protest movement. Nothing short of this can pull us out of this quagmire of lawlessness.

A complete roadmap for the nationwide movement will be announced this week. I will have completed two full years of unjust imprisonment on August 5th. One that very day our nationwide protest campaign will be at its peak.

There will be no further negotiations of any kind with anyone anymore! The only path forward is mass protest in the streets, so the nation can rid itself of the puppets forcibly imposed upon it as its rulers.

Let me be clear: any officeholder in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf who cannot shoulder the weight of this movement should step aside immediately. Those who have submitted to these oppressors must remember: these very people will eventually crush you, and the people will never forgive you either.

Even leaders like Nelson Mandela and Gandhi were allowed to meet other prisoners, read books, and write. I am enduring a form of solitary confinement where I am locked for 22 hours a day in a 6x8 foot cell. Police officers are forbidden from speaking to me. I have been denied books for the past six months. I am not allowed to speak to my children. My lawyers and colleagues cannot visit me. My family is allowed only a few minutes of visitation each week, and many of them are often denied even that. My personal physician has not been allowed to examine me for the past ten months. Even my access to newspapers and television has been cut off for the last week. Books sent by my family are withheld and kept in the superintendent’s office. My wife is also being held in inhumane conditions in solitary confinement.

Behind all of this is the establishment and its pawns. All of this is being done to break me. But I will continue to stand against tyranny until my very last breath.

We restored the constitutional and legal rights of the tribal areas after decades and provided full resources for reconstruction and development. The current regime not only withheld their rightful funds for three years but is now actively working to roll back their constitutional rights, an action that is utterly condemnable. I commend our parliamentarians and representatives for boycotting these unlawful measures.

As for our Punjab MPAs who were suspended for protesting during the fraudulent government’s budget session, the real reason behind it was that their protest against Maryam Nawaz was intolerable for the regime, although it is a long-standing tradition to protest during budget sessions.”

Important Message from Former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Adiala Jail - 22 July 2025

“Never in the history of Pakistan has any political leader been subjected to the treatment that I am currently enduring. Nawaz Sharif committed corruption worth billions and was nevertheless granted every possible comfort in prison. In contrast, never before has the innocent and apolitical spouse of a political figure been imprisoned under such inhumane conditions as those imposed upon Bushra Bibi.

I am enduring the harshest prison term in the country’s history solely for the supremacy of the Constitution and in service of my nation. The level of oppression and authoritarianism is such that even the water I have for ablution is filthy and contaminated with dirt, unfit for any human being. Books sent to me by my family have been withheld for months. Access to television and newspapers has also been suspended. I have spent countless hours re-reading the same old books, but now even those are no longer available.

All my basic human rights have been violated. Even the minimum facilities accorded to ordinary prisoners under the law and the jail manual are denied to me. Despite repeated requests, I have not been allowed to speak to my children. Political meetings have also been restricted; I am only permitted to meet certain ‘choice individuals’, while all other interactions are barred.

I am waging a battle against a 78-year-old system, and my greatest success is that despite unprecedented oppression, the public stands firmly with me.

On February 8th (2024), the people expressed their trust in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf by voting for you even in the absence of an electoral symbol. After such a clear mandate, it is the moral and political responsibility of every party member to become the voice of the people. It will be nothing short of disgraceful and condemnable if PTI leaders waste time on internal conflicts at this critical juncture. Anyone found engaging in factionalism within the party will be expelled. I am fighting for the future of our generations, and every sacrifice I make is for that cause. To create rifts within the party at this time would be a direct betrayal of my mission and vision.

The so-called government formed through Form 47 has crippled the judiciary through the 26th Constitutional Amendment. The way biased judges are now delivering blatantly unjust verdicts under these courts is visible to the entire nation. We must launch a robust campaign to liberate the judiciary, for no nation can survive, let alone progress, without judicial independence.”

Prime Minister @andyburnham and Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband : how much longer will Britain remain silent?

For three years the father of my two sons, and Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been brutally penalised by his political opponents, in a personal vendetta by Army Chief, Asim Munir,  which according to the UN,  amounts to torture and which  is now taking a potentially fatal toll on his physical and mental health. 

He has endured 3 years of solitary confinement. For nearly ten months now his family has been denied contact with him. He has been deprived of the most basic human contact, denied access to books, lawyers and doctors.

The international human-rights standards are unequivocal. Under the UN’s Nelson Mandela Rules, solitary confinement lasting more than 15 consecutive days is prohibited and amounts to torture.

He has endured this treatment not for 15 days, but for three years.

Pakistan’s own Supreme Court has now intervened: ordering comprehensive  medical treatment, access to his personal doctor, regular family visits and twice-weekly calls with his sons.

Yet those orders are being defied.

This is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human-rights emergency.

He has deep and lifelong ties to Britain. He studied at Oxford University, captained Oxford University cricket and spent years playing county cricket in England. His relationship with this country stretches back more than half a century. His charitable activities were internationally recognised, and  include building the only free cancer hospital in Pakistan as well as a university.

His sons, my two boys, Sulaiman and Kasim, are British citizens. They have been forced to watch their father’s health decline from thousands of miles away, prevented from visiting him, denied visas, publicly threatened by government officials with arrest themselves, and even denied court-mandated regular phone calls. 

I have repeatedly appealed to the UK government to intervene. Purported attempts at back channelling have evidently failed. The previous Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy informed me in writing that Britain would not  intervene if my sons, British citizens, are arrested when they travel to Pakistan to visit their father. 

@FCDOGovUK: Britain must now speak out publicly and unequivocally. Demand that Pakistan comply with its own Supreme Court;  restore Imran Khan’s medical access, his right to see his family, end his prolonged isolation and uphold his fundamental human rights.

Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. Britain has a long and proud tradition of standing against arbitrary detention, inhumane treatment and the denial of fundamental rights. Those principles mean very little if we invoke them only selectively and neglect them when inconvenient.
This an appeal to the new Burnham government  to please now do the right thing.
