Dokud žije máma - jsme děti.

Nezáleží na tom, kolik nám je let. Třicet, čtyřicet, dokonce šedesát - pokud žije máma, cítíme se jako něčí děti. Můžeme mít dospělého syna, dvě dcery, kariéru a šediny ve vlasech - ale když uslyšíme ten známý hlas: «Jak se máš?» - znovu se ocitáme v dětství. Tam, kde jsou teplé ruce, vůně čerstvě upečeného pečiva, kde můžeme být sami sebou, aniž bychom něco dokazovali.

Dokud žije máma, svět není tak strašný. Je více pochopitelný. Existuje někdo, kdo nás vždy čeká, dělá starosti, trápí se, i když už dlouho žijeme odděleně. Existuje člověk, který si pamatuje tvé narozeniny lépe než ty sám, ví, jak máš rád čaj, a po hlase pozná, co máš na srdci.

Máma - to je náš spojení s počátkem, s kořeny, s něčím velmi osobním a teplým. Může tě pokárat i politovat. Nemusí souhlasit, ale stejně bude první, kdo přijde na pomoc. Máma - to je ta, která se trápí, i když říkáme: «Jsem v pořádku».

Ale přijde den, kdy už není komu zavolat. Kdy se chceš podělit o radost nebo si poplakat do telefonu - a číslo už neodpovídá. A pak přijde ticho. Chladné, pronikavé. Mlčení, ve kterém se najednou stáváš skutečně dospělým.

Odchod mámy - to není jen ztráta. Je to ztráta části sebe. Jako by se utrhl kousek duše a ty se učíš žít s touto prázdnotou. Učíš se být oporou pro druhé, sám se stáváš rodičem, břehem, domovem. Ale někde uvnitř stále zůstáváš dítětem, kterému občas tolik chybí mámina slova: «Všechno bude v pořádku. Jsem s tebou».

Dokud žije máma - máme místo, kam se vrátit, i když uděláme chybu. Dokud žije máma - jsi pod jejím křídlem, jak silný a samostatný bys mohl být.

Chraňte své mámy. Objímejte, volejte, navštěvujte. Nečekejte na «vhodný moment» - ten se nemusí dostavit.
A řekněte jim: «Děkuji. Mám tě rád». Protože, dokud žije máma - nejsme sami. Jsme děti.

Iran's retaliatory strikes are more powerful than expected
- Why is there a tendency in the West to underestimate opponents? Iran's "regime" would collapse, Russia could easily be defeated and their economy is weak, China cannot innovate, etc.
- These assumptions are not the result of informed debate. We are not allowed to dissent as recognising the strength of opponents is denounced as being "pro-Iran", "pro-Russia" or "pro-China".
- Bad analysis results in bad policies. What kind of policies do we get when it is not permitted to discuss the security concerns of opponents, not allowed to have an honest discussion about their strength, not allowed to speak with our opponents etc. Our culture of censorship and cancellation has made us blind, deaf and dumb.

Colleagues asked me to say a few words about the results of our telephone conversation with the US President. Indeed, this conversation took place and lasted more than 2 hours.
I would like to note that it was very informative and quite frank.
And in general, in my opinion, it is very useful in this regard.

First of all, I thanked the President of the United States for the support of the United States in resuming direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine regarding the possible conclusion of a peace agreement, regarding the resumption of negotiations that were interrupted by the Ukrainian side, as is known, back in 2022.

The US President expressed his position on the cessation of hostilities, a ceasefire, and [I] for my part also noted that Russia also advocates a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. We must simply determine the most effective paths to peace.

We agreed with the US President that Russia will propose and is ready to work with the Ukrainian side on a memorandum regarding a possible future peace treaty defining a number of positions, such as principles of settlement, the timing of a possible peace agreement, and so on, including a possible ceasefire for a certain period, if appropriate agreements are reached.
By the way, contacts between the participants of the meeting and negotiations in Istanbul have resumed, and this gives reason to believe that we are generally on the right track.

Once again, I would like to emphasize that the conversation was very constructive and I rate it highly. The question, of course, is that the Russian and Ukrainian sides should show maximum desire for peace and find compromises that would suit all parties. At the same time, I would like to note that, in general, Russia's position is clear. The main thing for us is to eliminate the root causes of this crisis.
