There are really only three hard things for humanoid robots.

The real world intelligence, the hand, and scale manufacturing.

His point of those three, the hand is harder than everything else combined.

Every finger actuator, motor, gear, power electronic, sensor all custom designed from physics first principles.

There is no supply chain for any of it.

Nothing taken from a catalog.

Nothing available at any price.

I don't think there's a single thing that isn't custom designed.

The interviewer pushed: how does that compare to Chinese humanoids selling at $6,000 to $13,000 ?

Unitree does not have a great hand with all the degrees of freedom of a human hand.

Optimus will. It has to carry heavy objects for long periods of time without overheating. It's 5'11".

It's got a lot of intelligence.

It's going to be more expensive but more capable.

The manufacturing S curve starts agonizingly slow. Then exponential.

Then linear. Then logarithmic.

The reason Optimus's curve starts slower than most: every single component has to be debugged from scratch.

No manufacturer has done this before.

The curve stretches before it bends.

Satya Nadella was asked why Microsoft is building its own chips while already partnering with Nvidia and AMD.

The chairman of a $3 trillion company didn't call it a chip strategy.

We're going to be a systems company that continuously optimizes for the new at-scale workloads while using general purpose technology from our partners.

Agentic workloads that didn't exist three years ago have completely different call patterns than human applications. Cobalt Microsoft's ARM based CPU is optimized specifically for coding agent traces.

Maya is co-designed directly with MAI and OpenAI models to extract maximum performance from the exact models Microsoft is actually running.

Then came the counter-intuitive move.

"We're using older Nvidia chips to accelerate our Fabric data warehouse. We're not only using it for cutting edge AI.

We're using it to make an old workload even better. That's great for Nvidia. Great for us.

The interviewer pushed on the broader principle for countries and companies watching this.

Don't use frontier models for non-frontier problems. This is the dictum I have.

He's not building silicon to replace Nvidia. He's building silicon to ensure every chip old and new runs at maximum economic value rather than sitting idle between training runs.

The optimization goes deeper than the chip itself.

Civil engineering. Cooling.

DC to AC power conversion. Getting electrons from the grid to the silicon with minimum loss.

He's not building a chip company.

He's building the most efficient token factory in the world and working backwards to the silicon.

I am not a supporter of TMC, nor do I belong to any political camp. But fairness demands that truth be spoken.

Whatever one’s political views may be, Mamata Banerjee is one Chief Minister who dedicated herself unconditionally for her state. She was one who contributed relentlessly during every crisis of Bengal during her Governance.

Mamata Banerjee dedicated her youth and more than half her life to building the TMC from the ground up. She stood against powerful forces, fought unyielding political battles, faced intimidation, humiliation and countless obstacles, yet never gave up. The party that exists today was built on her struggle, sacrifice, and determination.

Yes, she made mistakes. Yes, she trusted the wrong people. And some of those very people, whom she nurtured and elevated, chose to repay her loyalty with betrayal when she needed support the most. They plunged a dagger into the heart of the person who gave them their political identity.

No leader is perfect and Mamata Banerjee is no exception. There were shortcomings, there were limitations and there were corrupt individuals within the party, as there are in almost every political party. But the fact remains that she carried the burden of the movement largely on her own shoulders and lived a life far simpler than most politicians.

Today, to see attempts being made to humiliate, sideline or even remove the very person who created the party through blood, sweat, tears and decades of sacrifice is heartbreaking.

And not to forget, the entire BJP machinery has, quite successfully, executed its strategy of portraying her as the villain in the public narrative.

BJP has mastered the art of shaping perceptions and controlling political narratives. No parties do it as effectively as they do.

Politics may forget. Power may forget. Opportunists may forget.

But history remembers.

And one question remains:

Where is justice? Where is conscience? And where is God when loyalty is rewarded with betrayal?

Mamata Banerjee doesn’t deserve this.

I wish to see the end .

During certain period, he was acting as the CEO and Chief Secretary. Therefore, there is also the likelihood of bias. There were so many illegal and irregular activities were there in the election process. Subrata Gupta has been brought here as Special Advisor of the CM. So, here too there is likelihood of bias. We have said that the incidents of assault at the counting hall will be established through the CCTV itself. Therefore, we sought preservation of CCTV, VVPAT and EVMs. The judge has admitted the petition and passed the order that the CCTV and all the cameras in and around the area must be preserved by the EC, CEO and Returning Officer...Respondents have been directed to file their affidavit and reply within 4 weeks. Matter has been directed to appear after 12 days..."
