Today and tomorrow, the "Moving Conference" has its final stop in the @KvarkenCouncil, visiting Vaasa and Umea. For the ferry connection between these cities a modern, environment-friendly vessel has been ordered, complementing the Bothnian Corridor. @BC_SWE #rbx2018 #nsbcore

Yesterday ended with a presentation from Baiba A. Rubesa @rubesita from @RailBaltica introducing the project plans for the baltic conutries. The expected benefits far outweigh the costs. Here the money is spent, where it generates the largest benefits. @rbx2018 #rbx2018

Average travel time from one of the Baltic capitals to another will be cut in half by #RailBaltica - from about 4 hours today to 2 hours in the future.
The great majority of passengers will certainly be intra-Baltic, said @RailBaltica -CEO @rubesita yesterday.

Today we visit the Riga railway station, the "heart" of the @RailBaltica project in Latvia, and continue by regional train and bus to Pärnu and Tallinn. After a visit of Ülemiste City, the day will end with the ferry transfer to Helsinki. #rbx2018 #nsbcore

Exciting news: there are ongoing negotiations for international train from #Kiev via #Minsk through Lithuania & Latvia to #Tallinn pushed by Ukraine. Representative from Lithuanian Railways says they are optimistic to have operating service within 6 months. #RailBaltica @rbx2018

Changing to the bus in #Joniškis. Our train @rbx2018 wasn't allowed to transit to the Latvian railway network - reasons not clear, probably due to the lack of a binational agreement for passenger rail at this border crossing. #RailBaltica #nsbcore
