Today and tomorrow, the "Moving Conference" has its final stop in the @KvarkenCouncil, visiting Vaasa and Umea. For the ferry connection between these cities a modern, environment-friendly vessel has been ordered, complementing the Bothnian Corridor. @BC_SWE#rbx2018#nsbcore
Highly fruitful and inspiring meeting with Catherine Trautmann yesterday. Our conclusion: Above all, @RailBaltica is a project for the young people. So let's connect railways and buses in the Baltic States to Interrail, and let's make young Europeans meet here! #rbx2018#nsbcore
Afterwards, we will meet with Corridor Coordinator Catherine Trautmann and Regional Mayor Ossi Savolainen to discuss the @RailBaltica as economic driver for cities and regions. We are looking forward to report to them what we experienced on our way to Helsinki! #rbx2018#nsbcore
We have arrived in Helsinki, and we will meet with transport and planning experts in the Laituri - City Planning Exhibition Gallery to discuss smart mobility, the role of the regional railway system for metropolitan development and the status of the FinEst Link. #rbx2018#nsbcore
The last few days @AniaSzm and me tweeted a lot about cross-border transport. If you want there to be well-scheduled and cyclic transport offers in the long term, with attractive tariffs and continuous passenger rights, please support @EUpassengers and @PRO_BAHN https://t.co/ce42QgKme9
The #MovingConference continues today via #Tallinn to #Helsinki and further. @bladewing678 and I get out in #Riga.
A big thanks to the organisers of this trip. We had a great time!

Yesterday ended with a presentation from Baiba A. Rubesa @rubesita from @RailBaltica introducing the project plans for the baltic conutries. The expected benefits far outweigh the costs. Here the money is spent, where it generates the largest benefits. @rbx2018#rbx2018
Average travel time from one of the Baltic capitals to another will be cut in half by #RailBaltica - from about 4 hours today to 2 hours in the future.
The great majority of passengers will certainly be intra-Baltic, said @RailBaltica -CEO @rubesita yesterday.

Today we visit the Riga railway station, the "heart" of the @RailBaltica project in Latvia, and continue by regional train and bus to Pärnu and Tallinn. After a visit of Ülemiste City, the day will end with the ferry transfer to Helsinki. #rbx2018#nsbcore
#RailBaltica is step-by-step development, and #RailBaltica is a journey - that is what we learned yesterday, visiting Kaunas Intermodal Terminal, travelling the section from Kaunas to Riga and listening to the inspiring vision of @RailBaltica for future development. #rbx2018
It seems a rare case in @PVilciens history: a whole car booked for our Conference group. Foreign partners with a chance to explore the RVR history #NSBCoRe https://t.co/l1LXnqSieL
Exciting news: there are ongoing negotiations for international train from #Kiev via #Minsk through Lithuania & Latvia to #Tallinn pushed by Ukraine. Representative from Lithuanian Railways says they are optimistic to have operating service within 6 months. #RailBaltica@rbx2018
Changing to the bus in #Joniškis. Our train @rbx2018 wasn't allowed to transit to the Latvian railway network - reasons not clear, probably due to the lack of a binational agreement for passenger rail at this border crossing. #RailBaltica#nsbcore
Our Lithuanian special train, with which we travel the #RailBaltica, somehow reminds me of the discussion on platform levels and accessibility in Germany... #PRO_BAHN#rbx2018 https://t.co/nLUNdnqolo
The "Moving Conference" continues with a special train of the Lithuanian state Railway from Kaunas to Joniskis. The vehicle is a kind of RegioShuttle for broad gauge. @rbx2018#rbx2018 https://t.co/t1GILdbCpF
Weiter geht es mit einem Sonderzug der litauischen Staatsbahn von Kaunas nach Joniskis. Das Fahrzeug ist eine Art RegioShuttle für Breitspur. @rbx2018#rbx2018
