Neha Bora & Abhijeet Dipke have been abducted by the Delhi police. They have not disclosed their whereabouts, nor allowed them to contact their lawyers or relatives. All totally illegal.
Why? Only because they wanted to wave the National flag in Connaught Place!
Imagine how evil BJP is that it’s making a rapist a governor and arresting the parents of the victim for protesting.
Imagine how evil Godi media is that it’s not even questioning Modi for making him a governor, and instead editors will have chai with Shah today afternoon.
🚨 Tight slap on the faces of those who day Delhi Police does not work or Capital is unsafe for women. See here - the whole police force is hard at work at 4AM - making sure that the streets are clean and tidy.
🚨 Did Ankita Bhandari's parents seek permission from the BJP Govt before they decided to sit at India Gate - to protest against the BJP Govt? Why cry when they are taken away?
🚨 Why shouldn't Dushyant Gautam - be made the Governor of Sikkim? He meets all the criteria of the party and we all know that CBI investigation will give him a clean chit - why wait? - #BhaktBanerjee
🚨MASSIVE BREAKING : SHOCKING Statement by CJI Surya Kant🤯
(MUST Read & Share)
CJI Surya Kant:
> "If every citizen becomes a journalist, it will create problems for all."
Think about it for a second.
Problems for WHOM?
> The citizen who filmed Ankita Bhandari's parents being detained?
> The student who recorded protesters being dragged into buses?
> The phone that caught what godi media refused to show?
Those videos aren't a problem for democracy. They're a problem for POWER.
When TV anchors stopped asking questions, ordinary Indians picked up their phones and did the job for them.
Not every citizen is a professional journalist. But every citizen has Article 19, the right to free speech and expression.
Your Lordships, stand by the CONSTITUTION, not STATE POWER 🙏🗿🔥
Has the Government so completely abandoned its duty of accountability that it now relies on detention to silence those who demand it?
At Jantar Mantar, young citizens exercising their democratic right to peaceful protest, even while waving the national Tricolour, find themselves in judicial custody. At India Gate, the grieving parents of Ankita Bhandari, seeking justice for their daughter, are detained at 4 in the morning, alongside Congress workers who stood in solidarity with them. A protester is not an offender. A grieving parent is not a threat. The distinction should not need explaining to those entrusted with governing.
What threat to public order do peaceful protesters pose? What purpose is served by subjecting bereaved parents, already enduring an unimaginable tragedy, to such indignity?
The Constitution does not guarantee citizens the right to protest only when their questions are convenient to those in power. That right is not conditional upon the Government’s approval. Nor can it be restricted merely because its exercise causes discomfort.
The power to detain is not the power to silence. The demand for justice does not end at the gates of a police station. Nor does the courage to speak out disappear at the threat of arrest. The people of this country have never needed permission to stand up for what is right. And they must never be made to believe otherwise.
@INCIndia
Hello @DelhiPolice,
Can you tell the people of India, how much taxpayer money are you wasting on doing illegal surveillance on me?
Just give a rough estimate :)
When CJP was granted permission to protest, many were quick to float conspiracy theories that we were planted by the BJP.
Yesterday, the INDIA bloc held a massive protest, but there was no crackdown like the one we witnessed on October 10.
This is exactly how the govt plays us against each other. By treating different protests differently, they create suspicion and mistrust among people who are ultimately fighting for the same cause.
My only request to everyone is to see through these tactics. Today, they may allow one protest and crush another. Tomorrow, they could reverse the roles. The idea is to keep us doubting each other instead of questioning those in power.
Don’t let conspiracy theories divide us. Don’t fall into the trap of fighting among ourselves when we should be standing together.
The fight is against Gyanesh Kumar and those protecting him. Don’t lose sight of that.
Why did you delete the part where I was asking for my phone so I could retrieve my cousin’s number? And where I was asking to let me speak to my lawyers?
The same Delhi Police which is now taking the moral high ground for informing me about my grandmother’s demise and offering me a ride home came to me at 3:30 in the morning with arrest papers, demanding that I sign them.
Where did all that humanity go at 3:30 AM? Despite knowing that I had just lost my grandmother, they still insisted that I sign the arrest papers. I refused until I was allowed to speak to my lawyers.
#WATCH | Nagpur | Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Founder Abhijeet Dipke says, "The Delhi Police came and told me that my grandmother had died. I then asked the Delhi Police to let me call my cousin who lives in the village; I requested them to bring my phone for just two minutes. They refused, saying they couldn't bring the phone and asked me to provide the number instead. I told them I didn't remember the number by heart and asked them to just hand me the phone for two minutes so I could retrieve the number and give it to them. Even then, they did not give me the phone. By law, I have the right to call my lawyer as well. The Delhi Police did not allow that either; they wouldn't let me call my lawyer. I needed to call my cousin—who lived with my grandmother in the village—to ask what had happened and how. The Delhi Police still refused to give me the phone. What do you make of that? They still wouldn't let me make the call. At 3:30 AM, the Delhi Police came and told me to call my parents and inform them that I had been arrested. What was the intention behind this? Waking me up at 3:30 AM and telling me to call my parents—waking them up too—to tell them I was under arrest? I asked them why they hadn't informed my parents all day that I had been arrested or where I was being held. Why didn't you tell them during the day? Why are you telling me this at 3:30 AM? Why not wait until morning? They insisted it was a legal procedure. What kind of legal procedure requires calling someone's parents at 3:30 AM to inform them that their son has been arrested? My grandmother had just passed away due to health issues; my parents were already in a state of shock. On top of that, these Delhi Police goons and brutes wanted me to call my parents at 3:30 AM and shock them with the news that I had been arrested. They have no humanity—absolutely none. They are goons in uniform—thugs wearing the uniform—and Amit Shah has turned them into such hooligans...I haven't signed any bond. We will take to the streets again; we will not be intimidated by people like Amit Shah and Modi. Throw us in jail not just once, but a hundred times—we do not fear your dictatorship. We will put an end to your dictatorship"
Delhi Police released an edited cut video of Abhijeet Dipke during his detention. But what actually happened was that he requested to speak to his cousin, who lives with his grandmother. He asked for my phone so he could contact his family, but Delhi Police did not allow him to use it.
