@StyleWarsNYC Buyer Beware of Natalio J Fuentes ([email protected])! He tried to steal my money and not send what I paid for. Please be very careful; in fact, don't buy from the store, unless this person is replaced. Natalio J Fuentes is NOT LEGIT.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@bee_lovely24 Probably, but we have to ever so vigilant about fake news.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@LeilasFace True, but will the day come where we become cyborgs, humans with electronic implants? How will this change the meaning of human?

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@SinayCaroline I read the book, and enjoyed it, though the future it paints isn't very attractive, at all. Curious to see the movie!

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

Social media is here to stay but will reading skills decline b/c of the popularity of videos & photos & apps like Snapchat? #sjsui246w10

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@AVagnone Surveys are great too, though the participation rate may be low. How to motivate patrons to use them? Gift certificates? Money? Zero fines?

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@ECWPoetry Yep good points all.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@annearmacost I think the more options a library has with such tools the better; and to use them together to get most bang for the buck!

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@AVagnone @denzepperone I would agree!

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@Kiki_Rozelle Totally agree. There's also Twitter's analytics.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@denzepperone I believe they've metrics that can measure both; some libraries may want both as goals.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@itseteatime Good to know about, especially since it's free.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@samto2025 I like this article; short, sweet, and powerful.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

Use Hootsuite to measure how effective (or not) your social media is at your library; they've a freemium plan @hootsuite #sjsui246w8

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@GetLiterary_Liz I would agree with that.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@BGonthetrain That's a good point. At the library I work at all computers/browers are in regular mode.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@itseteatime Thanks for sharing this. Just deleted all of my saved searches in Google. Paused before doing it though, but decided to do it.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@briasinn Librarians have been sued, and issued court orders, because they refused to give over patron records to the government.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

@samto2025 @privacyala So true. Raising awareness is just as important, perhaps now more than ever before.

[Ramon Calhoun @rcalhoun_246]

As librarians uphold the privacy of its patrons, they should also educate patrons about privacy when the opportunity arises. #sjsui246w6
