@ParisPhl People (esp in USA) always want bigger, cheaper, faster - and easy / comfortable. Synthetic materials make all of that possible. Also became a boiled frog scenario - ie little changes over time have suddenly led to a large difference now. Not easy to turn the ship around.

@jappleby I think one of the things people don’t like is all these posters look the same. They do - b/c of the prompt used (or lack thereof).

Real photos + proper prompt = AI being advantageous for SMBs. But the version shown here is what many consider “slop”.
