RCC Secretary General @amer_kap joined the opening of “Enhancing Skills for Public Employment Services” @wapesorg European Conference hosted by the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina today in #Sarajevo.
“Public Employment Services are becoming strategic institutions as bridges between people and opportunities, employers and skills, education systems and labour-market needs, national reforms and European standards. Employment policy can no longer be treated only as social policy. It is now a competitiveness policy, demographic policy, productivity policy and part of the European integration agenda.” said RCC SG
Conference gathered Public Employment Services leaders, policymakers, practitioners, researchers and partners to exchange solutions for strengthening skills, cooperation and human-centred employment services in a transforming labour market.

RCC Secretary General @amer_kap today at the Advancing Employment and Social Policy Together conference hosted by @BMAS_Bund in #Berlin as part of the #BerlinProcess framework.
Together with @DelinaIbrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation, Besar Durmishi Minister of Economy and Labor, and Jelena Vasić, Senior Advisor for Creation of Active Employment Measures, RCC SG spoke at the “Promoting employment: Effective strategies for resilient and inclusive labour markets” panel on common labour market challenges, including skills gaps, demographic pressures, labour mobility, and public employment services modernisation.
“Regional cooperation is not an additional layer of work, but a practical necessity. No one else will build resilient labour markets for the Western Balkans but the authorities of the region, working together and for the benefit of their citizens. RCC will continue to support that work by connecting regional cooperation with EU processes, and by helping ensure that commitments produce visible, measurable results” said RCC SG.
At the conference ministers also presented and launched the Berlin Process Work Plan on Employment and Social Policy aiming to strengthen cooperation in areas such as labour mobility, skills development, modernisation of employment services and closer alignment with EU systems
