Sussex boys academy sessions kicking off for the season โณ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธEntire group hitting balls on the range during lunch break at their request ๐ THIS is what junior golf is all about. Play the game because you love the game ๐ #juniorgolf#deliberateplay
@DCGreyMattersUK@RCGreyMattersUK Great read thanks for sharing ๐ With the drop, rebound, grow and going from letโs say a 7 - 8.5 was this grading system based off their overall ability as a footballer?
Professional golfer Grayson Murray died by suicide yesterday. He struggled with alcoholism and mental health issues for years.
In January he won his second PGA Tour event, the Sony Open in Hawaii. During the press conference after the tournament, instead of letting him celebrate and asking him questions about golf, the media asked Grayson one question after another about his addiction and mental health struggles. Instead of getting offended or irritated, Grayson answered every question patiently and honestly.
He was a fighter. Anyone struggling with the same type of issues and in need of encouragement should watch this video. Don't give up. Keep fighting.
@IanPeekCoaching ๐ Fascinating stuff Ian ๐ค So it could be said these guys made it in-spite of the parents behaviour. It didnโt de rail them etc. But I wonder how many have had similar parent behaviours that didnโt make it and and how much effect those behaviours had on them not making it!?! ๐ง
@IanPeekCoaching@DPWorldTour And could it be argued they may not have โmade itโ if the parental behaviour was different?? Or maybe they would have had even more success if it was different!?! ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
@IanPeekCoaching@DPWorldTour Have you seen the David Beckham documentary? His Dad was certainly quite hard on him. He made it! Also in your study, these players still โmade itโ despite this parental behaviour?
The best drill Iโve ever used to improve every aspect of a players swing
The task here is to throw the club at the ground 10-12ft in front of the player
It encourages better motion almost instantly
Iโll be using it more in the future
BUT there may be many 8, 10 and 11 year olds who aspire to high performance. What do we do for them? As a psychologist, I suggest one can identify who will achieve later, albeit that their achievement may be in a different domain! This is somewhat more complex than many suggest
Innovation & vision, growing the game of golf ๐คฅ Embarrassing. No issue with taking the money, maybe I would do the same! But I would have far more respect for this guy is he was to say heโs doing it for the money ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Just say it!!
@IanPeekCoaching@LETgolf It would indeed. Always interested in all things PCDEโs. These players having the ability to adapt and then know when to slow down on the adapting surely shows that they have a lot of PCDEโs that they are deployingโฆ and knowing when to deploy!
Great listen Ian ๐๐ป Very insightful ๐ I doubt a question you can answer! But I wonder if your findings would have differed if looking at LET players ๐ค

@rossmacleodputt My initial test is almost always 8 foot straight putt. Then look at the averages etc. I want this this to look pretty tight before going to breakers etc. Feel like some may have r - l breaking putt tendencies etc that you might not see when thrown in with everything else?? ๐
