On my way to the library, I witnessed a demonstration near Worcester City Hall. One of the women was holding a Ukrainian flag.

"What is your message?" I asked.

"I want the U.S. to continue sending weapons so that Ukrainians can keep fighting," she responded.

"What about those who don't want to fight but are being forcibly sent to the front? What about the 100,000 deserters? What about the millions who are trapped due to closed borders?"

"I don't know what you're talking about. I just want Ukraine to keep fighting."

"If you want to fight, send your own men and declare war on Russia, which possesses nuclear weapons. Stop fighting with Ukrainian men. Send your troops!"

As I spoke to her, she rolled up the Ukrainian flag and put it in her bag.
