This #BiomedicalScienceDay2021 I want to pay tribute to all those working incredibly hard in biomedical sciences within the UK & especially in our fantastic NHS.
Your incredible work has been central to our fight against the virus.
7/10 State of the art Blood Sciences! We went live this spring. Haem + biochem in perfect synergistic harmony. Hypnotic automated track. High level lab geekery! Our BMS crowd is utterly awesome & I cannot praise them enough @RCHT_Pathology
On Wednesday 28th April the track handled 4,253 blood tubes which were automatically analysed producing 26,041 test results, a record for the laboratory. This reorganisation has been a tremendous achievement for staff in the Blood Sciences laboratory. #bloodsciences
During the last two weeks of April a robotic revolution has been quietly happening in Pathology! The Clinical Chemistry automation laboratory has been transferred from the Tower block into the recently refurbished Link corridor Haematology lab. @RCHTWeCare#Cornwall#chemistry
Clinical Chemistry staff have started using a new Abbott Laboratories automated sample track system and new analysers. This is the first installation in England of this technology! @AbbottNews#pathology#NHS
All adults in England can now get free rapid Covid-19 tests twice a week.
The more of us that take part, the more we can help protect each other.
