Just a reminder that Tony Vitello was set up for failure with a bullpen that significantly lacks big-league experience and the ability to close games. I will stand by the fact that the rookie manager has been the least of the #SFGiants issues.
I don’t know how much blame you can put on Buster Posey for getting Willy Adames and Rafael Devers.
Two really good players who most fans were over the moon about when they got him. Those guys have failed their team. Can’t blame Buster for a guy falling off of a cliff.
Brian Baldinger was asked if people should be concerned with how the 49ers have drafted in the last 5 years:
“I’d be concerned. You have to be concerned after you look at what Seattle is doing in the draft. You look at what the Rams are doing in the draft. The Rams don’t have a first round pick on their offensive line and haven’t the entire time since Sean McVay has been there. They never used a first round pick on one. They trade most of them away… They have struck gold repeatedly. You look at Kyren Williams in the 5th round. Kobie Turner in the 3rd round and Puka [Nacua]. To say that the 49ers are drafting on the same pace that the Rams and Seahawks are, would be crazy. You can’t stretch it like that.”

I evaluated the last 4 years of John Lynch drafts
his performance:
2023: #31
2024: #28
2025: #31
2026: #32
after the draft, Lynch claimed he knows better than everyone else
the data shows he doesn’t
I went thru every single "reach" he made
it's gross

All told, the 49ers selected 8 players and reached a whopping total 430 spots for those picks. They took what should've been a solid class of the top 30-150 players and walked away with the equivalent 3 3rd round picks, 1 late 4th, 1 late 5th, 1 6th and 2 UDFAs.
This has to be unheard in recent draft history. @SharpFootball can you confirm?
@Coach_Yac Bro, it doesn’t even have to leave the park. I just want hard contact for a single…maybe even a double. This team stinks at drafting. Every year.
It’s not like they just randomly decided to test him lol. His fuckin car was on its side, and the police have a pretty strict “no wheels on the ground we have to ask some questions” rule
Absolutely electric lmao CB Buckner noticeably annoyed when he tapped the 2nd time only to be wrong again and listen to 40,000 people cheer for his incompetence 😂
