I realized what I love most is when I can find free downloadable plans, resources, and ideas. I could make a few dollars, or I could just give stuff away. https://t.co/wpSPYffpTi
I'm starting the new year with a renewed passion! I needed this break to refocus and recharge. One thing I hope to do this semester is more frequent writers' workshops.
What about you? What is one thing you plan to do?
4 rules for grading:
1. Not everything students do should be graded.
2. Not everything you collect should be graded.
3. Feedback is way more important than a grade.
4. A grade should reflect learning, not just accuracy.

Next year's AP students willingly joined my at a local coffee house for a 45 minute discussion on rhetoric. It. Is. Summer. Break. Y'all! I'm so proud of them. No grades were involved whatsoever. #APLang#Winning#Learning#Engaged
@teacher2teacher Your teaching won't be perfect straight out of the gate. Allow yourself some grace when mistakes happen. Own them. Reflect on them. Learn from them. Move forward.
@teacher2teacher Reflect on the past year and jot down what you would like to do differently and then walk away for a few weeks. Rest. Read for fun. Hang out with friends. Take a road trip. Then, find solutions to your list.
@michaelcbeach46 @jmattmiller@DitchThatTxtbk@dbc_inc I'm working through some PD classes offered by @edtechteam, reading many writing books to prepare for my new course assignment, breathing, revamping how I teach my sophomore classes, and attending APSI in Denver
Unacceptable @verizon! Teachers use Remind all. the. time. for student and parent engagement. Stop holding Remind hostage. Charging 11 times the fee is ridiculous.
