@j_mcelroy Now I’ve just gone down a rabbit hole of looking up whether it’s okay to say something is “suspect” aka “that seems suspect” vs only being correct to say “suspicious” and there doesn’t seem to be a consensus so I’m using sus just to be accurate because it works for both.
Reminiscing about when I first got my dog & as a first-time dog guardian I was like “He seems hungry. Does he seem hungry to you? Are we feeding him enough? Why does he eat every disgusting thing off the ground? Is he starving?” Just dog doing dog things but I was unprepared.

@michellecyca Reminds me how in my first pregnancy (2014) they insisted I drink water until I was in crippling pain for my ultrasound and then they made me pee twice before they could actually do the ultrasound. In pregnancy two (2018) they were like “just have a glass or 2 of water.”
@clhubes Had my 2-week-old son and my 3-year-old with me at the library and an older woman commented that I looked “tired”. Because I definitely needed that pointed out to me.

My recurring stress dream: I discover I never actually got the right credits to graduate. It’s always claimed, when I visit the university boogeyman trying to deny my degree, that I didn’t take stats. Reader, IRL I somehow got an A in stats. I think my brain never accepted that.
@ambernoelle I studied French immersion and knew the way the French would have said it but always went with the butchered pronunciation because, when in Rome…? Fear of sounding pretentious? We say “In loo of” (lieu) not “In lee-e” of right?
