SEND Stats for England are out today. Headlines: EHCPs: 389,171⬆︎by 9.5%. 4.3% of pupils have EHCPs, ⬆︎ by 0.3%
SEND pupils no EHCP: 1,183,384 ⬆︎ by 4.7%. 13.0% of pupils are on SEN support. Up ⬆︎ by 0.4% We'll be working on our usual analysis & infographic 1/
Why it's important for SEND & #safeguarding to work together in schools: there are often overlaps between children supported by the SENCO & the DSL. KCSIE '22 made this importance explicit for the 1st time. This article explains why the link is important.
