@ChuckRossDC @KFILE NYT reported that Bill Clinton warned campaign and that they tested a couple of ads that did not do well w focus groups, then gave up. That was probably the election right there. Though a better candidate would have helped too.

@ChuckRossDC @KFILE I heard Mark Penn at an election conference talk about how in ‘96, every time Dole ran an ad, the Clinton campaign, within 48 hrs, had a response ad up that had been tested in multiple cities with target voters & that “beat” the Dole ad. KH never responded to these Trump ads.
