@WASPI_Campaign Maybe if the limited company called WASPI purported to represent all 50s born women had a democratically elected board and a decent record on negotiating instead of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory Burnham would be happy to properly discuss our issue.
Thank you to colleagues across the benches and Houses of Parliament for signing urgent letter to Govt asking that financial redress for state pension injustice faced by 1950s women goes into the King's Speech. Refusing them redress was wrong, the Govt can now right this wrong.
👩⚕️Remember clapping for the NHS? How about we pay NHS staff enough so they don't drop below the minimum wage?
On April 1, as the minimum wage goes up, thousands of NHS staff will have to get an emergency rise or their pay will be illegal. “It’s beyond belief that frontline NHS workers who risked their lives during the pandemic are so poorly paid that they are set to fall below the legal minimum rate" @UniteSharon
📣 Comment & share. Demand decent pay for NHS workers
Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden announces the government will reconsider whether to award compensation to Waspi women
He said new evidence has emerged as part of the legal proceedings challenging the government's decision
@MelJStride You sat on a 100 page Parliamentary Ombudsman report on WASPI compensation for months till the General election was called. Zero confidence in you as chancellor. BBC News - WASPI: Minister calls for time in women's pension row - BBC News

@johnadgrady Do you agree with the dismissal by Liz Kendal of the PHSO recommendations on findings of DWP maladministration affecting 4516 of your 50s born women constituents?
We are pitting the poorest against the poorest.
We can't have a situation where people with disabilities are being forced back to work when they are unable to. That is not the sort of society that we want to live in. @UKLabour@Keir_Starmer

NHS planning to cut doctors/nurses jobs, maternity and A&E services to meet the govt's “eye watering” NHS savings.
Another way of forcing people to go private.
Private firms milking 30%-40% profit from NHS contracts. End privatisation.
Tax the rich.

We cannot continue with the Conservative legacy of running the #NHS into the ground under the guise of reforms.
Unite will be aggressively campaigning against any measures that are a byword for cuts or any downgrading to our members’ pay and conditions.

Do you agree with @UniteSharon that @UKLabour should:
🚩Show workers they are on their side
🚩Reverse bad decisions like the #WinterFuel and #benefitscuts
🚩Be bold & channel the 1945 Labour government
Yes? PLs RT and have your say below 🗣️
When the richest 50 families in Britain are worth £500 billion, no govt, never mind a Labour govt, should be trying to balance the books on the backs of pensioners & the disabled.
We can't keep making workers & communities pay.
It's time for different choices - @UniteSharon
@johnadgrady No pockets in a shroud. 😡To choose an MP with the worst life expectancy figures in the UK to gaslight the public is shameful. 😡 Majority get old state pension or less than full nSPA. Removal of the WFA, denying your WASPI women and hikes in living costs compounding.
@AngelaRayner Failure to compensate the 50s born women, delays in processing pension credit and removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance took millions from local economies. Not "difficult decisions" just wrong ones .
