Most nineteen-year-olds who drop out of college do so because they can't hack the coursework, or afford the tuition, or just prefer to play video games in their parents' basement. @ethanrthornton dropped out for a slightly different reason: he wanted to build a better missile, and MIT was slowing him down. So, Ethan left the Ivy League, took a hundred-grand from Peter Thiel, and set out to disrupt the entire military-industrial complex before he was old enough to legally buy a beer. And I think he’s on the verge of doing that very thing.

Ethan grew up on a farm in Texas, working as an auto mechanic and hammering out custom kitchen knives to pay for his early engineering experiments. When he looked at the state of American manufacturing, he didn't see a lack of apps or software; he saw a nation that had forgotten how to bend metal, spark welds, and build heavy things at scale.

Today, Ethan is 22, and his company, Mach Industries, is valued at nearly two billion dollars. They’re building the next generation of autonomous defense hardware, and a lot of people are paying very close attention, including those in the Pentagon. Mach’s weapons are inexpensive, (relatively) easy to mass-produce, and most of all, lethal. I heard him speak last year at an energy conference and immediately invited him on the podcast. This was the first blank square on his calendar, and I was honored that he spent a few hours chatting with me.

Joe Rogan and Joe DeRosa discover that Honeymooners creator Jackie Gleason walked away from $7,000,000 left on his contract in 1956 because he didn’t want to “cheapen” the show.

That's about $83,000,000 in today’s money, or $1,000,000 per episode.

ROGAN: “There’s only one season?”

DEROSA: "He did 39 episodes. And he was like, 'We did it. It's done.' Nobody does that now. They were like, 'You have to do more of these.' And he's like, 'Nope, we did it. We're good. We have nothing left to say.'"

DEROSA: "Look at this. He had $7 million left in his contract in 1956, which is crazy money. [Gleason said], 'The excellence of the material could not be maintained. I had too much fondness for the show to cheapen it.'"

DEROSA: "I mean, that is baller shit back then. Like, that is not something people were doing back then."

ROGAN: "Or he just got lazy because he had so much money."

JAMIE: "CBS was gonna give him a three-year contract for what would have been $132 million today. He was going to get close to like a million dollars an episode."

ROGAN: "A million an episode back then?"

JAMIE: "No, no, no. [In today's dollars]."

DEROSA: "When Seinfeld... announced they were all going to get a million an episode, I remember that was like groundbreaking... This guy was offered the equivalent of that back in '56 and said, 'Nah, I'm good.'"

In December 1954, Gleason signed a three-year, $11,000,000 deal with Buick and CBS, the largest contract in television history at the time. The deal called for two seasons with an option for a third, but he stopped after one, leaving roughly $7,000,000 on the table.

Gleason said: “The excellence of the material could not be maintained. I had too much fondness for the show to cheapen it.”

They will have a whirlwind romance with a very wealthy but clearly homosexual man (think Alex Soros benefactor vibes) and a very quick wedding, and then she will have a test tube baby and run for President and claim motherhood “has changed her” as her excuse to why she said the most insane things before getting married and having a baby and moderating her woke views to run for President. Maybe her husband will even be Jewish so she can keep her rich Jewish Democrat donors who backed her initial Congressional campaign. 🤣

Let me break this down for you. Again, as the Air Force Aide to President Clinton, I have been intimately involved with these programs.

1) The U.S. intel had a specific, credible Iranian threat: a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile spotted in the vicinity of the Ankara NATO summit. Iran also knew the exact hotel floor and room where the President was staying.

So the Secret Service and military did exactly what we’re trained to do.

2) Trump boards the visible AF1 for the cameras. Then he’s moved in a catering truck to a C-32A. SecWar Pete Hegseth goes with him. (Because we’re in a war).

3) The decoy plane keeps the AF1 callsign and flies with the press pool, staff… and Secretaries Marci Rubio and Scott Bessent (plus Stephen Miller and Steve Cheung).

Continuity of government isn’t optional. It’s the requirement.

Trump’s own words yesterday: “They wanted me to go on a different flight… I just have to do what they say.”

I’ve been in that system. The President does not get a vote on his own protection. Getting on that catering truck was not his idea. It never is.

Yet the same outlets that published the classified details are still pearl-clutching about being “left as decoys.” They think their safety should rank above the Commander-in-Chief and the Republic.

It doesn’t.

It never will.

We're watching an enormous misread of the results from Wisconsin. The dumb take is that the DSA has reached its ceiling, and the establishment is fighting back. That's totally wrong. The normie Dems are simply negotiating the terms of their surrender.

Those terms are obvious: the Democratic Party will ingest and mirror the key precepts of the DSA, and they won't go whole hog against DSA candidates who don't totally say the quiet part out loud. This is why Slotkin didn't endorse Stevens against El-Sayed in Michigan. It's why Schumer and Jeffries didn't endorse Cuomo against Mamdani in NYC.

In return, the DSA's most important figures will refrain from endorsing the very worst candidates. This is why Bernie and AOC didn't endorse Hong. If they had, she would have won.

The goal of the pact is obvious: candidates who are DSA in all but name, who receive unified Democratic support after the primaries, and who still have a shot at winning a general election. So don't be fooled: the DSA is driving the car, choosing the direction. The normie Dems are just negotiating over the speed.

🚨NEW: Tyler Robinson’s defense just filed its probable cause brief, and it’s revealing for what it DOESN’T argue.

Nowhere in it do his lawyers argue:

• That Robinson is innocent
• That there was another shooter
• That Charlie wasn't shot
• That the microphone exploded
• That the rooftop guy wasn't involved
• That the recovered .30-06 was never fired
• That the confession messages are fake

Instead, Robinson's own lawyers write that his messages to his roommate and partner "indicate Mr. Robinson's intention to kill Charlie Kirk."

They quote him: "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I took it."

Their primary ask is to strike the sole aggravating factor — that Robinson knowingly created a great risk of death to a person other than Charlie.

Without it, the death penalty comes off the table.

26/33 pages is spent on that single point.

The final pages argue that Robinson telling his boyfriend to "ask for a lawyer and stay silent" wasn’t obstruction, and that Robinson couldn’t have known children were present in the crowd.

So after Candace and a dozen YouTubers spent 10 months making millions of dollars spreading lies about this case, Robinson's own defense team is in court arguing the bullet "travelled above, not through, the crowd" — so he shouldn’t face the death penalty.
