Day one of the "Stand For The Beagles" vigil outside Marshall BioResources in North Rose, New York, was a success!

Supporters gathered peacefully throughout the day to be a voice for the animals still inside. NBC 13 WNYT also visited the vigil and interviewed Adam Durand, who was representing vigil host Beagle Lovers And Rescuers Inc. (BLR).

Marshall BioResources made a major PR blunder in its response to NBC 13 by stating

"protesters' "energies could be better applied toward the ongoing search for equivalent replacement methods and technologies."

The problem is that many of the people standing outside their facility are already advocating for modern alternatives and a future where animals are no longer needed for testing. In fact, that's one of the main reasons they're there.

To many people, the response comes across as tone deaf and disconnected from the very concerns protesters have been raising for years.

Today through Saturday, more people from across the country will continue arriving to stand peacefully for the dogs still inside.
