One of our own, @paulroub , is giving a talk at @codemash this Friday on one of our favorite topics - Test Driven Development! Check out his session here: https://t.co/bm8F9H7BMl
"Troubleshooting can be the most frustrating thing about software, especially if you don’t have the right clues to help you find what you are looking for. It is imperative to leave the right clues behind & add missing clues as you find them" - @rdmatwork

If you saw #LISA19 talk by @franceshocutt on testing code follow his advice and get comfy with testing, but once you are please take the next step and practice TDD. You don't have to worry about writing "testable code" if it is DRIVEN BY TESTS!! 😉
“If people are afraid to touch the monolith they will be afraid to extract things out of it” - @janogonzalez on containerizing a monolith. Made me think though, how can we make these things not so scary in the first place? I can think of an easy one...write good tests #LISA19
"We are all experts in something and are always communicating with non experts" @bjshively Us "tech people" must be able to tell stories to different audiences. Appropriate context is a powerful thing. #getbetteratit#LISA19

There is this idea... I don't know who started it... that if you write code "the right way to begin with" that you'll never "have to" change it.
It's one of the most ridiculous ideas on software development, and the root of many dysfunctions.
