This was tilmed yesterday at the community adoption event in San Diego, California. The dog is Duke, a 10-year-old German Shepherd being showcased for adoption. The veteran is Tech Sergeant James Parker, 39, Air Force, walking through the parking lot heading into the store. Duke served with James in Afghanistan from 2011-2013. When Duke retired from military service two years ago, James couldn't adopt him immediately-rental restrictions. Duke went into the adoption system. James had been searching for months through databases.
Yesterday, James was at the pet store buying supplies. Had no idea there was an adoption event happening. Duke was sitting with volunteers at the outdoor table.
Watch what happened. James walks through the parking lot. Duke's head snaps up. Sees James. Goes completely rigid.
Staring. Then breaks into a full sprint. Rips the leash from the volunteer's hand. Runs straight across the parking lot. Launches into James's chest. Both crash to the ground. Duke frantically checking James's face with his nose. Whining. Tail going insane. James wrapping both arms around Duke. Sobbing. "I've been looking everywhere for you. Everywhere." Volunteer told us: "Duke saw James and just took off. The recognition was instant. l've never seen anything like it." James adopted Duke immediately. Took him home yesterday. Ten years after serving together. Found by complete chance in a parking lot. James told us: "I searched every database for months. Never expected to find him at a random pet store. But Duke found me." Sometimes the reunion you're desperately searching for happens when you're just buying dog food.

I’m the mother of two Gen Z children. My oldest graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Business and Computer Science and CANNOT find a job. Luckily she attended university on a full academic scholarship. So at least she’s not in debt.

She’s not the only one of her colleagues struggling. This is the norm. She’s working this summer by coaching others in tennis because she was also a college tennis player on a fantastic team. But she would prefer to be working professionally.

We need to end the foreign visa work programs, like H-1B, that have shut out Gen Z graduates of job opportunities in exchange for foreign cheap labor.

🚨#BREAKING: A Texas man heard little girls SCREAMING inside a burning house...

...so he punched clean through a GLASS DOOR with his bare hand, wrapped a bandana over his face, and walked straight into the fire to carry them out.

He carried out one little girl.

Then he turned around and went back into the flames for the second.

His name is Leon Segura, two little girls are alive today because of him.

Leon was just driving home when he saw a house on fire and heard children screaming.

He ran towards front door, but it was too hot to get through.

So he ran to the back of the house, and with his BARE HAND, he punched through a glass door, shredding his arm and hand, tied a bandana over his face against the smoke, said,

"Lord, help me,"

and RAN into the fire!!!

He found two young girls inside and one by one, he carried them out.

Just as he pulled the second girl to safety, the back of the house collapsed behind him.

Those two girls are in the burn unit right now, fighting for their lives.

He didn't know them, but he risked his life anyway... that is what a hero looks like.

You know what shook me when I was Muslim?

The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.

She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.

And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.

To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.

I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?

Then I realized I was the wife.

I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.

And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”

He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”

That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.

He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.

Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.

Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.

The cross was Him naming the price.

Praise the Lord.

One of the richest men in all of America signed the Declaration of Independence knowing it could cost him everything. Then he left home to serve, died far away in a borrowed town, and never came back. Meet Philip Livingston.

This guy was not a scrappy underdog. Just the opposite. He was born in 1716 into the Livingston family, one of the wealthiest, most powerful dynasties in colonial New York. Manor lands, a Yale education, and a shipping empire he built into one of the biggest merchant fortunes in New York City. He had everything the British system was designed to reward.

And he spent that fortune building things that still exist. He helped found King's College, which you know today as Columbia University. He helped start the New York Society Library. He helped create the New York Chamber of Commerce. The man was basically constructing the civic backbone of New York with his own money and time.

Here's the thing though. He was not some hothead revolutionary. He actually feared independence. He worried it would bring chaos and disorder, and he was cautious about the whole idea for a long time. This wasn't a man itching to burn it all down.

But when New York finally gave its delegates the go-ahead, Livingston signed. He put the name of one of the great fortunes in America onto a document the crown treated as treason. A rich man betting his wealth against the empire that made him rich.

And the war came straight for him. When the British took New York, they seized and used his properties. He started selling off his holdings to help fund the fight, watching the empire he'd defied pick apart the life he'd built.

Then comes the ending that gets me. His health was failing, and he knew it. Congress had been driven out of Philadelphia and was meeting in the small town of York, Pennsylvania. Livingston could have gone home to rest. Instead he told his family he probably wouldn't see them again, and he went to York to keep serving anyway.

He died there in June 1778, in the middle of a session of Congress, far from home. He's buried in York, Pennsylvania to this day. He never made it back to the New York he spent his whole life building.

A man who had every reason to stay comfortable and loyal, who gave his fortune and his final months to a country he wasn't even sure would work.

Philip Livingston. He died at his post, a long way from home.

🚨#BREAKING: A man in North Carolina has been arrested after he showed up to a small-town church full of worshippers with TWO FLAMETHROWERS, crossbows, 500 rounds of ammo...

...and a notebook listing the addresses of churches and schools

A church member saw him, sitting in his truck in FULL BODY ARMOR and camouflage and called 911.

An OFF-DUTY police officer, working security at that church, walked straight up to that truck and confronted him.

He told officers he was "law enforcement" there to enforce a smoking violation... but he was NOT law enforcement.

Police say what he actually had in that truck was an arsenal: two flamethrowers, two crossbows, a launcher made to look like a handgun, over 500 rounds of ammunition, knives, duct tape, and police scanners.

They disarmed him without a shot fired.

Every single church needs to have SERIOUS SECURITY, this could have been a complete massacre.

I haven't seen this story reported in any mainstream media, but it looks like this man was about to massacre hundreds of Christians in a church in North Carolina.
