Right now, I’m reviewing Dasha's (illustrator Daria Kochnieva) work on the chapter sketches for Book 2, and I’m amazed by the way she conveys the intended atmosphere and mood. I can immediately see the characters’ personalities — in their gestures, in their poses, in the angles she chooses, and in the way she builds the compositions and collages together. I really love the character and the style itself. And I understand that this is still only schematic for now — all the details, depth, and refinement will be added later. This is exactly what we discussed during the online meeting (below), what we talked about before, and what we hoped for. I think it’s going to be really amazing. I truly, truly love this direction."

USRowing leadership transition: Amanda Kraus will step down as CEO in April 2026 as she pursues other professional opportunities. The Board will appoint an interim CEO and retained a specialist search firm to launch an immediate search for a permanent successor.

Since Nov 2020: surpluses in 2023 ($616K) & 2024 ($489K) reinvested in member experience; USRowing Foundation + record fundraising (incl. $6.5M largest donation in 2025); Paris 2024 podium (2 Olympic, 1 Paralympic; 9/12 boats improved vs Tokyo); United We Row + $180K grants (first 2 yrs).

We are grateful for Amanda’s leadership and confident in our momentum toward LA28 and beyond.
