@icebagz_ Vancouver is rated as one of the most liveable cities on Earth, yet when I went, it felt like a worse San Francisco; less culture and more fent zombies.
Whistler on the other hand was absolutely amazing. Better than Lake Tahoe value wise, and the Coast Mountains are stunning!
@caneyehoe Stroads mean that when there’s little traffic, a 35 zone feels too slow, and 50 feels right. Speed limits are at the end of the day, merely a sign. If you really want to enforce a lower limit, the way to do it is to design the roads differently, perhaps by doing a road diet.
@momonoisan I once heard of a Korean who was so tired of seeing other Koreans when he travelled, that he decided to go somewhere that he thought no other Koreans would be. He went to arctic Norway, saw another Korean at a Circle K.

“What are YOU doing here?”
@AlaromaPolitics What matters the most in people’s minds is history from the past 100 years. This is also why France are seen as “haha le surrender” when they’re the most militarily successful nation in history
@PredebutVTuber From what I’ve seen, the Chinese aren’t very good at soccer, and from what I’ve heard, the Chinese aren’t very interested in it either (aside from Xi, ironically). They prefer basketball, I believe.
