@TeamYouTube@petergyang@TeamYouTube I just set it to 0 and restarted the app, but I still see Shorts on my homepage. Please fix this and help me get rid of them.
More distillation → more competition → more training → more $$$ for Mr. Huang.
With the top AI companies building their own inference chips, Nvidia would probably rather see models get commoditized and competition explode. More smaller companies competing means more companies without their own chips buying Nvidia GPUs.
@elonmusk@tomselliott Yet you are here pursuing AI models and robots. Why not just stop? The argument can’t be that it’s better for you to do it than for others.
@unusual_whales What good is that productivity when there’s nothing for the majority of the population to do, except for a few people like him to control the rest?
The solution is simple: the world should collectively impose a TOTAL and ABSOLUTE ban on building and deploying physical AI, excluding toys and learning products. This will prevent a job apocalypse and ALSO save humanity from extinction.

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

While it is an interesting thing to experiment with, I have yet to see any real use case where it outperforms conventional neural networks. Maybe things would be very different if they mapped a more sophisticated brain.
The "fly brain" controlled release is likely what has the big AI labs spooked.
We are running fly brains in web browsers while creating emergent properties quite easily.
Google Research would not have released their most cutting edge or capable brain for the masses to mess around with and we can assume that they now have internal access to artificial brains which rival human capabilities and beyond.
Now imagine those artificial super brains in hyper scale data centers that run massive arrays of them.
In 2021, I first heard of artificial brains being used to control satellites and brushed it off as science fiction.
God created humans. Humans created LLMs. And LLMs now seem to be creating artificial brains and potentially artificial consciousness.
You should embrace as much of the new technology as you are allowed to access.
Acceleration is inevitable.
