I recorded a short video of how the game I build with my boys also can teach you programming along the way. Also embeds a pi-durable agent straight in browser to be a teacher.
How Go maps work internally, explained simply. This time it's a video, not a blog post. https://t.co/DA7Z6kUHhV
Enjoy, and let me know what you think :)
Itโs true: you canโt write Rust in an OOP fashion. Return to procedural with some functional thrown in.
It takes time to adjust but itโs better.
OOPโs historical strengths are weaknesses these days
New interactive mini-book: Go concurrency distilled
It gives a brief overview of many concurrency topics in Go, along with examples you can run in the browser. There's also a PDF version.
The book is AI-free.

btw if you are curious what is "axi", here you go https://t.co/fOE5FHdMCv
AXIs are basically CLIs designed specifically for agent ergonomics. as a result, they push token efficiency and task success rate to the extreme
a few other AXIs i have -
- https://t.co/U5xhj1xrzQ: drop in replacement for chrome MCP and is significantly more token efficient & faster without losing anything at all
- https://t.co/yqn1xDnKjG: similarly drop in replacement for gh cli and probably the most efficient way for your agent to do github stuff
We're adding support for AGENTS.md to Claude Code.
Starting today in version 2.1.277, if there is no CLAUDE.md in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md.
You can toggle this behavior in /config.
Ok, this is big!
MCP now defines an extension specifically for discovering and loading Agent Skills from MCP servers
(Save this, Itโs worth reading how it works)
The flow is pretty simple:
- MCP Server
- Discover available Skills
- Get Skill metadata
- Load the SKILL.md only when needed
This is a huge step for better context window usage
Instead of loading everything upfront, the agent can discover Skills and load only the one it needs from the MCP
Great progress from the Model Context Protocol team! ๐

I just found an interesting Go repository: https://t.co/OmBou0t8BS
If you are learning Go, spend some time here after the syntax tutorials. Learning how to check test coverage, compare benchmark results, and find bugs is also part of learning how to use Go.
What Is a Distroless Container Image? ๐ง
Go (programming language) is famous for its statically linked binaries. You can take a Go executable, drop it into a "FROM scratch" container, and call it a day.
But there might be a problem with this approach...
1. "FROM scratch" containers lack proper user management.
The "scratch" base image means an empty image. So, the etc's passwd and group files are simply missing.
Most of the time, it makes the containerized process run as root.
2. "FROM scratch" containers lack some much-needed folders.
`/tmp, /root, /home, /var, /etc` - none of them exist in the scratch container (unless you mount some of them, of course).
But that can make our programs faulty - just try creating a tmp file and see what happens ๐
3. "FROM scratch" containers lack CA certificates and timezone information.
Calling an HTTPS endpoint? Impossible.
Doing time conversion? Impossible.
4. "FROM scratch" containers lack your language runtime.
If your language's static linking support is less perfect than Go's, or your programs require an interpreter or a runtime environment, you can barely use scratch containers.
Distroless container images exist to solve the above problems while still staying as close as possible to the "FROM scratch" approach.
The GoogleContainerTools/distroless project is a good example. It ships the following base images:
- distroless/static = scratch + a distro-like directory structure, /etc/{passwd,group}, CA certs, and timezones
- distroless/base = distroless/static + glibc
- distroless/cc = distroless/base + libgcc
And a few more language-specific but still distroless images:
- distroless/java for Java 17, 21, 25
- distroless/nodejs for Node.js 22 & 24 & 26
- distroless/python3, well, for Python 3
But there are other projects (and products), too! Learn more about distroless images in this iximiuz Labs tutorial: https://t.co/QvQ99VDs6Z
